@GadiNBC in response the latest staytuned on SC @Kaepernick7 wasn’t protesting the league he was using his platform to bring awareness to social issues that he cared about. He did that by kneeling during the national anthem—nothing against the @NFL get the story right over there

He’s NEVER been disrespectful. He’s never gone on field during the national anthem to cause a scene. He’s never burned a flag. He chose NOT to make a stand over the injustice that he’s seen. If you think that he caused divisions in this country, you’re a part of the problem.

It is a psychological issue. Such persons assume this as old fashioned as well as an act to be done by illiterate guys. They feel shame in standing in the honour of national anthem. They are pseudo patriots.

@Pam2189 That was your go to move when going after him compared to Russell Wilson. I don’t have a problem with Russell Wilson I think he’s a great role model but because Kaepernick took a knee during the national anthem does not make him anti-American or a villain

Not sure what the issue is meant to be here. Alan Mannus expressed his view, controversial as it may be, in a respectful way. The same as people who decline to stand for the US national anthem, or who decline to wear the poppy. You're allowed to do this in an open society.

@ugobananas It's because the very reputable journalism that called the problems with ME:A and Anthem delivered warnings about DA4 as well. Stuff can change and I hope it does, but a lot of these fears are not irrational. Happy to provide sources (not a conspiracy theorist honest.)

@Marque_plays I 1000% agree the same thing happened to me with Anthem , total let down and false advertising and leading people on ,never addressing the issues and ultimately just disbanding the individuals working on the project, hopefully Nintendo addresses some of these issues

@ZigWilliams The outrage is selective, a lot of players go inside during the anthem or be messing around unless they play for the cowboys or teams who enforce the standing for the anthem rule. If he chose to take a knee during a time some people eating skittles it shouldn’t be a problem.

@haleytweetbot Idt the avg white NFL fan/owner has a problem w bringing light to police brutality/racial inequality, I dont, NBA players do it often. But a huge part of the NFLs brand is patriotism, “America’s Game,” & many fans view kneeling during the anthem as unpatriotic, despite intentions

If you support the death threats against a Purple Heart recipient that was struck by an IED but have an issue with a man kneeling during the anthem, you’re going to have to stop pretending that this is about patriotism. Full stop.

@suman_rd No. I don't see any problem with that... Rather, I see problem with people who are reluctant to stand up while national anthem being played... They neither know nor value the sacrifices made by people for our freedom.

@PreetBharara The same people that claim kneeling in protest during the national anthem is unpatriotic have no problem smearing a decorated military officer. 🤔
