@KipHenley The flag and National Anthem shouldn't have to be defended! If you have a problem with the police go down to the police station and protest your a$$ off. Can't believe we let idiots represent our National teams.

@jmacho162 @GolicAndWingo 1st...the Soccer TEAM didnt disrespect our flag or country. If you watched the game...almost all of them stood and had their hands over their hearts during the anthem. I dont agree with the ones that didnt. By escaping reality...I meant...work, paying bills, life problems, etc.

I wasn't against him for kneeling during the Anthem because that was for a real and current social/civil issue. But this is pretty ridiculous I think. Time for the spotlight to move away from him.

@faizan55701558 @Gauravr86009799 @ZairaWasimmm Abe zaku no one asking her to leave because of religion. Read the tweet it clearly states that she refused to stand for Hindustans national anthem. I hope now you understand the issue. And you are no one to ask us to go to Nepal. Mind it. You are leaving in our country.

Today is the birthday of the biggest protest in American history, do if any of you knuckleheads have a problem with @mPinoe or anybody else protesting, remember that without protest you would not have a flag, national anthem, or country. Enjoy your bland ass BBQ and #Happy4th

At least there was a purpose to kneeling during the anthem: drawing attention to police shootings, a fixable problem. Now @Kaepernick7 is just being an *******. @Nike

@GWillis_UPS Heads Up- Major problem brewing in Anthem Nevada re: delivery driver M. Hill vs. manager. Local Customers upset she's not on her route and their dogs want treats. She's our primary business account driver too. We need her back ASAP. Not pleased with the bureaucracy.

@franklinleonard @mPinoe @Kaepernick7 Anyone who has a problem with the national anthem shouldn’t be on any US national team. #celebritiessodumb

If there’s an issue that ultimately sinks the NFL — which I don’t think is likely — it’s not going to be player safety, concussions or the national anthem. It’s going to be it’s own players & the NFL league office/teams continuously mishandling abuse/domestic violence situations.

@theJeremyVine Imagine if at every international sports event the opposition crowd turned their backs during our national anthem - the entire daily mail readership would go into cardiac arrest.... oh well, one problem solved.

@FranklinRoben It's the UK's fault and problem, hence why British MEPs who derive legitimacy from the UK have the right to protest however they wish. Also, I'm not sure why you said that, as you ABSOLUTELY have the right to disrespect my nation, it's flag, and it's anthem if you so wish...

@GStanley71 @rebeccastrong16 Okay let me rephrase they're willing to die for our country whatever it is we asked them to do. The point is part of that is that we have the right to protest and no one is disrespecting a service member if they choose not to sing the national anthem.

@JonHolb The problem with tweets like this is you'll blob it on the internet but not critically engage with the replies. There is no issue with quietly respecting the national anthem, the problem is with people like you who feel the need to point it out.

It’s something in itself that people are saying how disrespectful it is to do this. This is a union. Not a nation. They are on their feet, with an anthem, for a union. That’s the problem... the EU want us all to be a state... the European UNION isn’t a country! #Poznan
