Anthem Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • kzannarbor Karen Zaruba (@kzannarbor) reported from Emeryville, California

Disappointed our local @AnnArborNews tried to make a news item about where any candidate’s hand is/isn’t during the national anthem. IMO the media should encourage voters to judge candidates’ fitness for office based on their policy ideas and record of public service.

  • ukbear03 Mike Bear Rogers (@ukbear03) reported from Winchester, Kentucky

@KipHenley The flag and National Anthem shouldn't have to be defended! If you have a problem with the police go down to the police station and protest your a$$ off. Can't believe we let idiots represent our National teams.

  • ACFromNorwich Antony Copland (@ACFromNorwich) reported from San Jose, California

Today is the birthday of the biggest protest in American history, do if any of you knuckleheads have a problem with @mPinoe or anybody else protesting, remember that without protest you would not have a flag, national anthem, or country. Enjoy your bland ass BBQ and #Happy4th

  • wafenton DrBill (@wafenton) reported from San Diego, California

This does not bother me at all. As a child we were taught that we were to stand at attention during the National Anthem. As long as you are not on your knees how you stand is not an issue.

  • bratin2 Bratin Bhattacherjee (@bratin2) reported from Pānchuria, West Bengal

@htTweets "The Internationale" (French: "L'Internationale") is a left-wing anthem. especially sung when a comrade dies. ok.. none finds problem in it., but if Jai shri Ram is a problem for comrades then ... " we won't care nor pay heed as this is Bharat..the land of the Vedas & ShriRAM.

  • TripleS_kid Shawn Stevenson (@TripleS_kid) reported from Colorado Springs, Colorado

@BodtonBears I'm not watching the debate but when the trending topic is someone not putting his hand over his heart during the anthem rather than actual issues it drives me freaking bonkers lol

  • themgroovytunes ellaminnowpea (@themgroovytunes) reported from Louisville, Kentucky

Seeing shit pop up in my timeline re: Liverpool fans booing the anthem. If you think some whack song is > than folks' (rightful) disdain of the current swing of govts (US/UK), then you're the problem. Get a better hobby than huggin' flagpoles, ya bums.

  • MrJohnKirby John Kirby (@MrJohnKirby) reported from Leicestershire, England

@JonHolb The problem with tweets like this is you'll blob it on the internet but not critically engage with the replies. There is no issue with quietly respecting the national anthem, the problem is with people like you who feel the need to point it out.

  • garethtrombone Gareth Roberts (@garethtrombone) reported from Cardiff, Wales

@gwilymb1945 @iamrhyd @WelshIntCricket @thebarryhorns @YesCymru I played cricket and have been a member of Glamorgan for years so I understand fully the complex funding issues etc. I’m frustrated that the only international team that is supposed to represent me is England. Their anthem, logo etc.... The postbox just adds insult to injury.

  • global_marshall Global Anthem Air Force Marshall (@global_marshall) reported from Jackson, Tennessee

Arrest warrant and search warrant issue judge king richsa global anthem courthouse of the world

  • alechamsports Alec Hamilton (@alechamsports) reported from Prescott, Wisconsin

If there’s an issue that ultimately sinks the NFL — which I don’t think is likely — it’s not going to be player safety, concussions or the national anthem. It’s going to be it’s own players & the NFL league office/teams continuously mishandling abuse/domestic violence situations.

  • birtydave Dave Birty (@birtydave) reported from Cheadle Hulme, England

@DebbieR57406639 @Neil_Cookson Spot on Debbie. I have lots of friends from Liverpool. We are all the same at the end of the day, same problems, same battles. Booing the national anthem is a bit strange though.

  • WhosYerDaddy666 Gary Fowler 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (@WhosYerDaddy666) reported from Glenrothes, Scotland

@Austinc1725 @StevenSwendsen @MrProWestie @FlakfireGaming @DanMinigun @DANNYonPC @jackfrags @Jack64789 @MaRco__Polo80 @TheTacticalBrit @SgtDangerCow Am no specialist but I'm thinking the problem is with the frostbite engine. Bioware said it was hell to get it right for anthem etc. Battlefield needs an improved game engine or a brand new one to cope with an increase in player count in matches.

  • mayginmcewen maygin mcewen 🖖🏻 ♈ 🏳️‍🌈⛤🍑 (@mayginmcewen) reported from Los Angeles, California

@GStanley71 @rebeccastrong16 Okay let me rephrase they're willing to die for our country whatever it is we asked them to do. The point is part of that is that we have the right to protest and no one is disrespecting a service member if they choose not to sing the national anthem.

  • HeavenShaffer Heaven Shaffer-McDermott (@HeavenShaffer) reported from Des Moines, Iowa

@DuraGalleta @mymentor79 @TwitterMoments I believe that such acts like putting our hands over during the anthem do little to help our troops, but makes us feel like we did something. It’s a symbolic gesture, therefore does actually solves vets problems. Doesn’t house them, fund the suicide hotline, etc...
