@Dragontech @BlizzardCS That's what the PTR is for. Fix things in the PTR and deploy on live... There's no need of 9 hours of maintenance if they fukin did their job fixing things in the PTR.

@pinkytehe @BlizzardCS At my job we always start estimates with 24-48 hours. We tell every customer "we apologize the service may be down for up to 24-48 hours". And we usually fix the issue within 6-12 max. Once we're 100% certain it will be fixed in 3 or 4 hours etc. only then we give that estimate.

@LeUnwantedTroll @KCKingThoughts @BlizzardCS I know the dev work, I've been on that area for several years. I know how dev on a MMO setting works, youre a shill. They are being incompetent are purposely pushing unrealistic down times to patch and fix **** that shouldn't take that long. they are not even adding new content.

@BlizzardCS I purchased a 6 month account and started fresh for the first time in about 8 years three days ago. I couldn't remember why I cancelled my subscription so long ago, but its all coming back to me now. Paying large money for a service you can barely use. #facepalm

@Dragontech @BlizzardCS At what point do you think the maintenance is too long in 2021? None of the issues the community want fixed are being fixed in this update. I'll eat my words if there are hidden patch notes that solve those problems, but I doubt it. Much larger patches have taken less time.

Ichiban the Monk

@BlizzardCS Let Monks cancel torpedo like we used to in 8.3. overall, fix monks. We need more utility. For example, when cocoon expires, make it an aoe that will provide a shield to the players that are nearby.

@BlizzardCS Is there a reason why your maintenance isn't done correctly almost every week? It's almost like no one has any clue what being implemented or how long it'll take. Just set the time to be longer so people don't try to login when you said it would be ready and get disappointed.

@ReversalPsycho1 @BlizzardCS YES your right code is validated before hand. But after implementation, a secondary validation takes place. To make sure that any end points have not experienced any issues. its SOP ...

@BlizzardCS I think the big issue is not that they are extending but not knowing what they are doing that is taking so long

@BlizzardCS "Our sub numbers are down, what do we do!?" "I know, lets do two days of maintenance in a row that extend 5 hours +" No other MMO has these issues with smaller dev teams. So whats your excuse?

@Nemofuckinbaby @BlizzardCS I've worked in IT all my life. Maintaining production systems much larger than WoW, where upgrades / maintenance are done without taking our entire system down. While the WoW system architecture may not support this today, it could. They've only had 16+ years to fix it.
