    @hedpot @BlizzardCS Think of it as @BlizzardCS being too cheap for DDOS protection. OR "someone who checks the purpose of people at the ice cream stand to make sure they are actually there to buy ice cream, not just stand in line". this is 100% preventable I don't care who you are.

    @hedpot @BlizzardCS Distributed Denial of Service, they basically form a botnet and overload the system with requests. It's typically done on individual personal computers like you and I, but sometimes can be done on game servers. It's just to be a **** or when their fragile ego was hurt.

    @EhRabz @hedpot @BlizzardCS This kind of feels like its slanted in the companies favor. Doesn't have to be competitors. Sometimes DDoS is a hacktivist thing to harm the pockets of a big service that might otherwise be corrupt. It stands for Distributed Denial of Service & it is what it says on the tin.
