@CSGO that moment when you are multi bilion $ company but still cant fix FXAA not working for like a year straight, whenever you turn on the setting it just applies until you exit the Video settings menu and once u come back its disabled

4/ So, what's the problem then, you might ask? Active Counter-Strike player base has roughly doubled since mid-2019, but the viewer numbers are flat to down. That is potentially catastrophic, especially seeing as @CSGO is doing more to promote tournaments in-game.

People who are saying this is a non-issue can’t explain why and how games have gotten longer and probably watch highlights of CS:GO matches while people produce every second of them for 11+ hour days. Unfortunate problem where the community likely can’t feel the problem as much.

@TheWarOwl Tech problems are never optimal, but they’re happening far less often, and would happen regardless of mr12/15 Round time, bomb time, molotovs, smokes, mr15/12, 4x Tactical timeouts, breaks between half’s. Focus on what’s consistently making the CSGO games long.

@TheWarOwl Tech pauses and ad breaks between OT halfs is not really counter strike. Too much waiting between the playtime is the biggest problem imo.

Look I'm not saying mr15 is bad, nor am I saying mr12 is the best. We have a problem with CS:GO maps lasting too long, and the absolute worst part is most don't seem to have a clue about why that's even remotely an issue... The solution? Let's figure that out together

@Pimp_CSGO it's a pretty **** thread tbh. most matches last about 3 hours long and that's not really a problem. looking at the extremes isn't going to help viewership and csgo will always have really extreme times because of OT.

@freeskinscom There's not really anything to add there is so much variety. The only thing that I can think of is OCE Steam Giftcards but its not even that much of an issue cause we have CSGO skins.

@tomi @CSGO the current save-heavy meta is exacerbating the issue. imo you could massively cut down on game time by severely reducing the end of round bonus for ct's that survive a losing round, forcing more retake attempts. maybe increase ct win bonus or reduce other costs to keep balance.
