@notsnakesilent @CsNeok @CounterStrike It makes zero sense that bunny hopping at max velocity with impossible directional changes isn't being detected. This is not an AI problem, it's a math problem. The server already knows your velocity and input timing every tick. Catching someone who air strafes without almost losing speed is basic subtraction. It's literally 10 lines of code to stop what you see in the video. Maybe not the aimbot itself, but even that, on a bigger scale with tracking, pattern recognition, and stored data, could 100% be caught by AI finding patterns and banning people for much more subtle aimbotting than what's shown here. Everything in the video is detectable with very little work using basic VAC Live features. The catch is that some of it needs AI computing power, which means real costs for Valve, and I think that's the main thing holding VAC Live back. It's expensive to run at scale, so they can't afford to keep it on 24/7. AI compute costs are out of control right now, so they save money by turning it off. They seem to toggle it periodically to test new features, which are really just cost-saving measures dressed up as improvements. That's why it keeps going on and off, and it's also why there are false positives. They dumb the model down to save money, min-maxing the fine-tuning until the accuracy slips. But again, none of that applies to the bunny hopping and the directional changes with no velocity loss. That stuff could be banned with almost no code. It's on snap tap level of detection. And that's the part that really doesn't add up. Valve shipped snap tap detection pretty quickly once they decided it mattered, which proves the capability exists and the pipeline to push detections exists. So why can they apply their talent to snap tap but not to this very basic VAC Live scheme for bunny hop abuse and closest-to-hitbox aimbots that use zero variety or RNG in their patterns? The trivial stuff isn't a compute problem or an AI problem. It's a priority problem.
