Mark Milligan (@MarkMilliganDPT) reportedOk @GarminFitness users. Need some tech problem solving. Turn on Fenix 5. Start jogging, heart rate is not accurate. Stop mid run cause it is frustrating. Stop Garmin. Turn off and back on. Put on wrist, heart rate is accurate. Software is up to date. Please help! #running

acdaisy (@acdaisy_) reported@GarminFitness @Garmin I have a newer (June 25) device that the heart rate tracking does not consistently work. I reach out to support and I get the run around each time and still have a device that doesn't consistently work. Is there anyone that can help?

Dr. Kate (@KateERyan) reported@MarkMilliganDPT @GarminFitness I think the wrist heart rate sensor is just kind of buggy. I’m in the Fenix 6 now, but occasionally I go through periods of getting a lot of false abnormally high heart rate alerts, and either restarting or updating the software will resolve it.

Can I just run without you ranking whether you think I'm going to be successful? I do not find it helpful or motivating. I'm a longtime, but slow, runner rebuilding.

Yes, waypoints is toggled on. I see in forums that others with 1040 have same issue. Used wifi & express to send. HELP

Quin Bond (@njergonomics) reported@MarkMilliganDPT @GarminFitness The wrist sensor can definitely get a little buggy if the wrist strap is too tight or too loose. Also, if you move your wrist into certain positions like extension with a little deviation it can get a little funky. For any real exercise, the chest strap is the way to go.
