Garmin Connect Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • arcanelove Justin Walker (@arcanelove) reported

I’m not sure how @GarminFitness watches calculate the number of floors climbed. I’ve run up and down my stairs at home 50 times this afternoon and after syncing my Fēnix 5 (again) with the iOS Connect app it reports a woeful 2 floors climbed. Baffled!

  • AciernoJonathon lil bean boy (@AciernoJonathon) reported

@GarminFitness your watches are garbage and you should be ASHAMED

  • HeriLuna Cachetoncito (@HeriLuna) reported

@Garmin @GarminFitness I have a problem with my Garmin Index.. no matter where is it, always show weight.. around 4 or 5 pounds.. when I got on it, of course the measures are wrong.. I already change batteries, reset all settings.. nothing, what can I do? Help!

  • SethJayson SethJayson (@SethJayson) reported

@GarminFitness GPS performance is pretty bad and you don't allow manual footpod calibration on the Fenix 6 to fix it, which also means workout & fitness information is wrong. AI can't make good decisions if you feed it bad information

  • philadopolis Phillip is almost a palindrome (@philadopolis) reported

@GarminFitness I'm a swimmer. There's a reason I'm a swimmer. I'm not very good at running. I walk for fitness, but I don't run. Why is there an option to track running on my #GarminSwim2 but not walking? Seems like a software update could fix this. How about it?

  • FrancoisModave François Modave (@FrancoisModave) reported

@herbertkrabel @GarminFitness Funny you say this...my GPS is off by 7-8% for each run. I keep mapping courses or trying on track and I have that systematic error no matter what setting (1s recording, galileo, no galileo etc)

  • JulesFDF HockeyLife (@JulesFDF) reported

@GuyHeveldt @Garmin @GarminFitness Hmm annoying. I’ve been tramping and training with others all wearing trackers and it’s always completely different. So of course we take the longest one! I presumed there was an +/- error with the satellite..?

  • manuelmarque Manuel Marques (@manuelmarque) reported

Interesting to know if @GarminFitness watches take into consideration the weather when estimating VO2max from running/cycling activities... had my VO2max estimate dropped down earlier as 2nd half of my run had a slight headwind, and naturally HR went up as I maintained the pace!

  • kem_saichaie Kem Saichaie (@kem_saichaie) reported

Realizing other factors are at play, my @GarminFitness watch telling my slow/easy run was “unproductive” is 😬😬😬 when that was the intent of the run. #recoveryrun #stillrunning

  • dave_survival Running for Survival (@dave_survival) reported

@GarminFitness In fact my first tweet on this issue included a tag of @GarminNederland but of course - no response…

  • SethJayson SethJayson (@SethJayson) reported

@GarminFitness Optical HR works fine as long as I'm not actually working hard, which is a problem for a fitness device. Problem HR hits thin people (ie, high-performing runners, cyclists, climbers, etc.) even more. And it gets noticeably worse in cold weather.

  • travlin_girl Susan B. Barnes | travlin' girl (@travlin_girl) reported

@GarminFitness Hi. In August 2021 I reached out with issues with my Garmin Vivoactive 4S not charging, and the same issue is happening again. Is this a design flaw with this model? It's tiresome, to be honest.

  • denisbest16 denisbest (@denisbest16) reported

@MissMarleneDK @GarminFitness Sorry Marlene but you lost me. Not a tech expert by any means.I Hope someone can help though.

  • CherNoreen Cher Noreen (@CherNoreen) reported

@lzmddngs @Garmin @GarminFitness I've heard that it can be useful for other people with ME. It's useless for me since it never goes above 5% charged. I've not seen any other ME patients with my problem with the body battery.

  • clivemd Clive Donaghue (@clivemd) reported

@GarminFitness Hi, it resolved itself so I think it may have been a temporary app / data problem rather than a source device issue. However FYI it’s a Garmin Fenix 6 Pro

  • 2621875 Marc Diamond (@2621875) reported

hey @GarminFitness, on your month totals screen, the calculation for weekly average is the month total distance divided by 4. #incorrect please fix.

  • elliottp1 elliott sheffield (@elliottp1) reported

    @MissMarleneDK @GarminFitness Wish I could help-always been a TomTom guy

  • SHodyEsq Sarah (Hody) Shtylman (@SHodyEsq) reported

@GarminFitness what’s going on with the ConnectIQ app? Every time I try to update the settings for the watch face on my epix, the entire ConnectIQ app resets to welcome screen and prompts me to login (which then fails unless I force close the app and try again).

  • DariusMDeV DariusMDeV (@DariusMDeV) reported

@GarminFitness @GarminFitness Why is the hydration widget so terrible on the Venu Sq? For something so simple it lags and bogs down the whole watch, barely registers clicks, takes many seconds to open. WTF is it doing that takes up so many resources?

  • barryley1 Barry Ley (@barryley1) reported

@Garmin @GarminFitness @GarminUK Garmin Pay looked so good but it’s so hard to add cards. LLOYDS? TSB? Even cards you say you take give an error message saying “not participating yet”

  • chipaca The Chipaca 🍃 (@chipaca) reported

seems the data from garmin itself was corrupt. Downloaded the FIT and the FIT SDK, converted it to CSV, found the sudden jump in timestamps, used python to fix it and uploaded that instead. @GarminFitness I think this one is on you.

  • barryley1 Barry Ley (@barryley1) reported

@Garmin @GarminUK @GarminFitness the audio prompt feature doesn’t work on the Fenix 7x. Everyone else on forums has the same problem. Can you fix with a software update? #garmin #fenix7

  • Adzsmith16 Adam (@Adzsmith16) reported

@godinmanform @GarminFitness It's clearly broken. Send it back

  • MultisportsDad Jake Steen (@MultisportsDad) reported

@herbertkrabel @GarminFitness Never had an issue with distance, but 100% of the time (7 out of 7 watches), the elevation stops working

  • GeorgeHistory Tyler George 🚵🚴🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️ (@GeorgeHistory) reported

@GarminFitness @matthew_arend Just sent a DM on an unrelated issue

  • RandomJack1775 Bob Berditzman (@RandomJack1775) reported

@Garmin @GarminFitness your connect IQ app is not working.

  • hughw hughw (@hughw) reported

No problem .@GarminFitness just locate tiniest Phillips head screwdriver ever, press firmly and don’t strip screw heads, remove four tiny tiny screws from back of I guess this delicate jewelry called HRM sensor and replace battery. Although probably safest to send it to factory.

  • Nate_T_Lopez Nate the Good Enough (@Nate_T_Lopez) reported

@LevityNYC @whoop @GarminFitness I’ve got an Apple Watch that I love as well. I got Whoop as a gift. I hate it. Never had a piece of electronic fail to deliver on as many fronts. Completely garbage

  • MeToddScott Todd Scott (@MeToddScott) reported

hey @Garmin @GarminFitness my vivomove hr I bought 8 months ago isn't charging. it has been a problem for the last couple of months and used the suggested cleaning of the connections. it worked for a while but now I can't get it to charge at all over the last month

  • KathyT8 KathyT 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (@KathyT8) reported

@GarminFitness I used it today but the suggested pace for a threshold section was just too fast for me. The ten minute warm up either side was also on the fast side for me too. Perhaps it’s not suitable for those of us really slow runners
