Deep General Research Institute (@DGR_Institute) reported@Garmin @GarminFitness I just bought and tested your new 2026 Garmin D2 Mach 2 Pro: I have used an Apple Watch Ultra One since release, as comparison (half the price of your watch): The build quality of your product is so hilariously bad that after one hour of testing, I decided to send it back and request a refund. Absolute China Trash. The display resolution and quality (yes I removed the display sticker lol) looks like from 2008 and the case makes noise like a kids toy. It’s heavy and bumpy too. Even the satellite emergency function, that you charge ten euros per month for, I get at Apple for free of charge. I will never buy anything from Garmin again. Worst company ever.

Ver 4.52.1 running under Android 14, logs me out every night, loses the last 5000 steps and other activities of the previous day, won't store the first 3 ECG traces after logging in. Really poor. I have a Venu 2S and I'm on my 3rd charging cable in 3 yrs cause the pins keep breaking off. The best they offer is 50% off their garbage charging cable. I'll never buy another until they fix this tech

Yes, waypoints is toggled on. I see in forums that others with 1040 have same issue. Used wifi & express to send. HELP

Garmin should warranty it even out of window given the research use. If you want zero risk of repeat, Venu Sq 2 or Vivoactive 5 are sealed cases instead of the slide-in pod.
