    @Mikthomson @MrJonCryer @hbomax “Integration Tests” are usually done to test a system/component with defined requirements and EXCLUSIVELY on lower environments (Development or Testing). They seemed to have integrated **** email service with Testing HBOMAX site, which is the problem!

    @dhchait Ha! I got the same email. @HBOMax having streaming issues while I’m trying to watch Bill Maher: infuriating in a “what the hell am I paying for” way. Finding they sent a test email to their entire subscriber list: priceless.

    @kyliebytes @hbomax Yeah. I would have put an E-Mail Server Blackhole on that network. Having the ability to build a full network from scratch with Vagrant takes time, but one can do such tests without being seen in the public. That's how "Dev, Ops" should work together

    @HBOMaxHelp Got this email and had a bit of a panic attack for whoever did it. I work with this kind of thing and have huge anxiety about doing exactly this. Hopeful that HBO means it when they show support for the person who made a mistake. Should be a learning experience not career ender.

    @HBOMaxHelp To the intern: I once accidentally recommended one of my company's biggest customers use a competitor. Yeah that was a bad day at work. We all make mistakes, and good employers support their fallible but hard-working staff. I hope HBO rises to the moment like mine did.

    @HBOMaxHelp I once sent emails to 75k contacts on error, I wasn't an intern. We were trying out a new marketing tool and I didn't realize it was hooked up to our test environment and production. Woops. It happens.

    @HBOMaxHelp I think my max email count was something like 7 - 8 thousand, but it was all to 2 people 🙀 Our email account got blocked. It was a mess. Glad everyone is taking this lightly, and thanks, HBO, for understanding you need to help, not punish.

    @HBOMaxHelp A month after I graduates college I did an rm -r * on a symlink I was using for testing that pointed to a production system. I brought it down. It happens. I made software quality the focus of my profession. If you want to pass my name up to folks at HBO, I'd appreciate it. :-)
