Thats it. Oh and to fix the block you just reinstall your OS and don't install Vanguard. So yes zero issue, cry more.

Krystal Farr (@KrystalFarr3) reported@riotgames To clarify for everyone, this is not a true 'bricking' the hardware is not permanently broken. Firmware is simply what is placed directly on the card to write directly to ram and bypass the CPU/ OS. Only the DMA fireware aspect is broken. EVerything else works perfectly.

I seriously don’t care if the malware makes your PC self destruct. If you don’t cheat you won’t have that issue. Dear cheaters, it is okay to suck at video games. It’s not okay to cheat. That simple.

Longlius (@Longlius) reported@crash @riotgames It's not even bricking the device. It's detecting it and telling Windows that the device is operating incorrectly which causes Windows to blacklist it. You can reinstall the OS (or do some gnarly registry hacks) to use it again.

That **** is still loading on their computer everytime they boot if it wasn't uninstalled. Now it can also be weaponized easily. If I pack the firmware with my game on steam I can brick computers lmao.

The point has been the fact that vanguard is able to mess with your system and essentially break your pc. Cheating in a game doesn’t make you a criminal, i could say that if you’ve ever lied or made a decision that was wrong then you’re a bad person and deserve to be locked behind bars. It’s annoying yes, but if you get that mad over a game that you think the person needs to be in jail then you might also have some issues to assess
