@riotgames For the record I never cheat at games. I hate cheaters and I hated how they made WoW less fun. There's bigger issues at stake here. I don't want digital lock technology brought to the point where all computers in our lives are owned by governments and big companies.

@_Zizmir @crash @riotgames Paid for a PCB device that specifically is used to bypass anti cheat dumb ******* retard.

  • CilvisNova
    Nova (@CilvisNova) reported

@OsintKitties @riotgames It doesnt break anything cheaters are just stupid. They updated how the memory in ram is formatted and the cheating devices werent made for it and locked up.This new format is protected and windows flags it as malicious. you can just do a registry edit and unplug the device to fix

    Daniel (@Daniel_OfCanada) reported

@krazyd0h @idkbruhidkbruh @riotgames I already posted the relevant log. It shows vgm.exe crashed. It does not say “DMA attempted.” BEX64/segfault is not proof of cheating; it’s a crash category. If someone claims DMA, they need an actual log line proving that, not vibes.

@_Zizmir @crash @riotgames If you cheat in a game you’re subhuman so I really couldn’t care less about what happens to the hardware

  • Chuflank
    nickflanks (@Chuflank) reported

@riotgames Please fix the cheating on console with the Titan AI aimbot devices. It has gotten really bad and been going on for months & you guys still have done nothing

  • chuu_the
    TheWrathofChuu (@chuu_the) reported

@riotgames Stop the theater and just let me play on Linux. I play many online FPS and cheating just isn't NEARLY as big a problem as you make it out to be, even in the worst places like CS. I'll take a cheater in one out of every 50 matches rather than have to run Windows 11 again.

    R31W1NG (@R31W1NG) reported

@GorgonsGrimoire @crash @riotgames ehh, riot made themselves malware here & not all DMAs are cheat devices. so that specific cheat hardware line isn't in clear water. they went into illegal action invalidating the EULA. they caused damages requiring work & time to fix likely with additional storage as well.

  • krazyd0h
    Kyle (@krazyd0h) reported

@RyanPMcGowan @riotgames The cheating devices attempt DMA, are blocked because IOMMU doesn't allow for the direct modification of memory by non-owned processes. The errors create flags that trigger the banning of the users. I know people don't understand how computers actually work, but I didn't realize how little they really know while trying to pretend they do understand them.

  • violet_rancor
    Valerie (@violet_rancor) reported

@GiftyCucumber @crash @riotgames It leverages Microsoft's DMA protection features built into Windows which will only hit devices that are directly accessing memory and is fully reversible, it just blocks the DMA card from loading until you disable DMA protection.

  • Kaionias
    Honko (@Kaionias) reported

@drawndoggo @riotgames software, its more akin to a hardware error, again, a blue screen. IOMMU is a security measure, same as safe boot, or an option like fast boot or XMP.

  • Pack_Rat_EWaste
    Matthew House (@Pack_Rat_EWaste) reported

@crash @riotgames It's still intentional destruction of property Riot _doesn't own_. This is a massive legal liability.

  • zirogx
    ziro (@zirogx) reported

@_holden_tm @riotgames This is not a valorant issue but a hardware flaw with 13-14 gen Intel's. Please seek an RMA from Intel.

  • Clocked0
    Clocked (@Clocked0) reported

@crash @riotgames They weren't even doing that BTW. Those same devices that were supposedly "bricked" work perfectly fine on other PC's as long as Vanguard isn't present. They literally just blocked access. That's it. They didn't "brick" them and that wording is deliberately absurd.

  • zirogx
    ziro (@zirogx) reported

@SudoBash2 @_holden_tm @riotgames You do not understand the issue. Literally anything and fry those processors due to a microcode flaw. Anything that puts a load on the cpu. This has nothing to do with riots invasive AC.
