    The problem with everyone moving from Whatsapp to Signal / Telegram - is that now Signal is down, with an issue (fair enough, not having a go) - but the majority of people care more about uptime than security/privacy - so are probably going to drift back to Whatsapp.

    @stirednotshakn @edwrather They are having trouble ramping up to handle all the new users. I haven't been active on there because it is often down or too slow to use. Be patient I have noticed it is getting better, it is a giant task they are facing. MeWe is having similar issues. Telegram works great.

    @Sustain_Joy When MAGAverse/militia groups lost Parler, & GAB was unfunctional, a huge number recently moved to Telegram & also Signal, for encrypted group conversations (& because WhatsApp is now Facebook-owned). Signal may be experiencing problems because of the sudden influx of users.

    @telegram It might be worth adding a better quick action for that, especially since that requires opening the chat which marks messages as read. Maybe swiping and holding down on mute? Also the different lengths are really weird, and inconsistent between platforms. Maybe a config option?

    @venvaneless @franklingan @WhatsApp There are 0 people in the cybersecurity space that think telegram is better than signal for privacy. Telegrams group chats also have privacy issues. They are also going to put ads on the app. It's not worth it.

    @_amitbehere Telegram scaled up slowly. In last few days Signal had 5 times more users. They are facing lot of problems. I saw an article somewhere. They even have started recruiting more people
