Unless they do something about that too I don’t think their goals is to fix addiction. They wanna control tiktok but know they can’t, so down it goes.

All Chinese companies follow a law which ensures Party loyalty and obedience. the CCP Can take over companies. and access all data. TikTok sends Data to China. GDPR, Data Sovereignty issues. etc etc..

ixothial (@Ixothial) reported@zzbenz The biggest problem ime is the legislators overseeing it have zero grasp of the tech underlying it. One of them today was asking if tiktok can access the WiFi. He had no understanding of the basic network topology he was using to access the internet. His questions made no sense.
