    @Matt_Hopcraft @abcmelbourne @tiktok Yup! Especially if it’s essentially an anonymous app tech company. I was monitored via an app admittedly (very handy for lockdown) but any issues I had (attachments falling off breaking, bites not settling etc) I was a tram ride away from seeing a human.

    @zzbenz The biggest problem ime is the legislators overseeing it have zero grasp of the tech underlying it. One of them today was asking if tiktok can access the WiFi. He had no understanding of the basic network topology he was using to access the internet. His questions made no sense.

    @JC48546570 @Blackkout__ China also has an application software similar to TikTok. In other words, it is only after this application software matures in China that TikTok can expand rapidly in the United States. China also has the problem of short video addiction

    @onlyanumber I agree that Chinese companies are a problem, and no fan of TikTok. I just think the solution is to prohibit any company from collecting and sharing personal data, not just Chinese ones.

    My wife is currently watching the @LoveisBlindShow through someone's @TikTok live because she can't get it to work on @Netflix. What an absolute disaster for Netflix. Whatever the numbers for the finale were going to be they are going to suck now because of this issue.

    criticising tiktok is valid, but its not the source of the problem, as if google, facebook, instagram etc doesnt do the same thing at an even larger scale, the problem isnt one countruy, its international companies being able to sell data, and track-

You think it's a coincidence that FB, IG, and YouTube have tried to copy the TikTok experience and now Meta is shutting down it's creator fund and NOW TikTok is a problem? Please.
