  @BenjiSdashG @lindabCA23 @NateSilver538 All of the things you mentioned are issues that we should tackle, but doesn’t mean we should or shouldn’t ban TikTok. They are not mutually exclusive. Considering that China censors most most US tech, if not outright banning them, I don’t see what the issue is

  The US government's handling of this matter is illogical. Instead of simply banning TikTok, they should investigate and solve any security issues. This not only causes unnecessary trouble for TikTok's users but also suppresses international trade freedom. #TikTok

  @adamscrabble @rjunkapoor I listed 3 macro issues above. Any micro issues for TikTok are not worth the time to explore. Either you have a level playing field or you don't. As it stands today USA and China are not on equal footing.

  Watched some of the TikTok hearing. Virality is bad, but that's a social media issue, not a TikTok specific issue. The problem with TikTok is they can't exist outside of the prospect of CCP intervention at any moment. If ByteDance wanted to sell TikTok, the CCP wouldn't allow it.

  @senatorshoshana 5/ Third-party information for law enforcement should require warrants. And we need legal bounds on gathering and disclosure of login type information -- I'm fine on "shoshana is a tiktok user", but not OK on "shoshana was on tik-tok from 3PM to 4:14PM yesterday"
