    @evacide Yeah, we need something like GDPR in this country, but we need it yesterday. I give California credit for trying to do something on their own, but that's just not good enough. And like you said, with a sweeping regulation like that, the TikTok is a non-issue.

    @tenzinttsering Agreed, this is the problem with TikTok and other forms of social media these days. Everything is so taken out of context and misinterpreted by the masses due to one short clip. Great take as usual 👍

    My wife is currently watching the @LoveisBlindShow through someone's @TikTok live because she can't get it to work on @Netflix. What an absolute disaster for Netflix. Whatever the numbers for the finale were going to be they are going to suck now because of this issue.

    @Alan7615 TikTok is a problem and must be addressed. India has banned it for good reason, but all their data is still stored. And if China wants it not banned, then the can UN ban Facebook and Instagram. No, it’s not a one way street.

    @Matt_Hopcraft @abcmelbourne @tiktok Yup! Especially if it’s essentially an anonymous app tech company. I was monitored via an app admittedly (very handy for lockdown) but any issues I had (attachments falling off breaking, bites not settling etc) I was a tram ride away from seeing a human.

    Taking the issue regarding user data with TikTok out of the equation, Shouh Chew gave a master class today. Dude walked into a firing squad and seemed virtually unfazed. Impressive to watch..put yourself in that seat. Maybe he is China's GPT-20???

    @nameandnums @sponge_nearby @thinking_panda Separation from ByteDance. the China Parent. All Chinese companies follow a law which ensures Party loyalty and obedience. the CCP Can take over companies. and access all data. TikTok sends Data to China. GDPR, Data Sovereignty issues. etc etc..

    I don't get the problem with tiktok How will forcing a sale from Chinese to US group keep us safer? They would sell the data anyway. Is China going to use dad dances to take over America? Can someone explain?

    We are literally about to default on our debt ceiling, I will NEVER own a home, we get paid PENNIES and climate change??? World War 3 is pending. But yes.. drag queens and TIKTOK are the big problem..

    Watching the tiktok CEO answer questions from our government flawlessly and then repeatedly interrupting him or constantly ignoring his words sent me in a state of anger so fast. This is the problem with people today. No one lets you answer if it doesn’t fit their agenda.
