    @sendboots Similarly to the last one, my favourite is women on apps who say “notifications for hinge/tinder aren’t working so message me on Insta”. I dunno what it is with girls who have 10,000 Insta followers and their dating app notifications not working.

    @default_friend @compactmag_ "Swipe based" dating apps are not the only form of tech available. Many years ago, @okcupid was quite good, allowing useful searches of meaningful profiles. Tinder dumbed the genre (including OKC) down. Technology isn't the problem, the perverse incentives of capitalism are.

    I think the biggest issue I have with Tinder/Bumble is the amount of expectation that is forced upon you upfront. Like, y'know the person is looking at you to ****/be serious/romantic and it's just unnatural and really hard to actually build a connection that way.
