@TomClark20 @jack @TwitterSupport Twitter has already run afoul of Europes' labor laws, the unjustified suspension of journalists and now this. The potential penalties are huge. Not to mention their long-standing FTC decree which, IMHO, they have already broken.

@NavyBluue_ @karengeier @TwitterSupport They were able to oppose this. Either they posted it anyway or they did speak up but the executives doubled down and forced them to post it, fully knowing how bad of a rule they made. It is far more likely to be the 2nd reason

@grftwood @TwitterSupport If you are still logged in in one of your devices, make sure to come back and check periodically. Yes, an error message with phone number not supported might still pop up, but doesnt mean you are log out. So be patient and let Twitter Support work on it.
