@TwitterSupport Just get rid of it in general rather than creating a paywall controversy. it’s like whoever makes decisions at twitter does it with the singular intention of creating engagement talking about it rather than actually fixing any problems or adding features.

Downloaded and installed Google authenticator. It's simple to use. It can be used anytime you log in. TBH the logic @TwitterSupport @TwitterSafety gave is sound. What happens if your mobile provider suffers an outage? If you can log into your wifi, you can still authenticate

This is absurd @TwitterSupport . So, unless we have blue check marks we're not allowed anymore to log in with a 2- step verification text our mail? That, in my opinion was an immediate verification by itself by literally giving ur personal phone number, even after our login. Why?

@TwitterSupport Y'all ****** this up pretty bad. Your requirement to remove 2factor requires that I use 2factor to remove it, which it then tells me I need twitter blue to use 2factor. Your logic needs fixed and quick. Also, what a terrible ******* policy.

@LumLotus @TwitterSupport I think you're one of the only people that has this problem. But again, why not use Google Authenticator, you don't need to use a password to get into the app.

@TwitterSupport Making our accounts way less secure unless we pay up is just the latest in a *very* long list of Elon’s bad ideas. I doubt it’s too big a stretch to call it extortion. Whether you say we can set up 2FA via other means is irrelevant when Twitter is too broken to actually do it.
