@TwitterSupport looks like it's a weird bug at the moment. if you search 'followers removed' on twitter right now there are tons of people having the same issue, which is reassuring. but it also looks like it's been 10+ hours with no fix twitter is a small indie company, please understand 🥲

@AtheistIntelli2 @TwitterSupport It's only been two hours and they are already back. In my experience, having seen a tweet like that almost every day for years, is to not draw attention to yourself until the glitch settles out, otherwise people look at you and start unfollowing because it looks like you did.

@YanniCrypto @TwitterSupport i think this is a glitch, I check my account from a different one and it shows that I follow a lot of people also when I enter a profile i am following it shows i follow that account then after a sec it unfollows it automatically wtf
