Ubisoft Connect Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Gulskjegg (@Gulskjegg) reported@revenant_MMXX I hate Ubi so much. Far Cry 3 is one of my all time favorite games but I can't play it because the uPlay service is perpetually hacked and broken.
-
Gianmarco_zannelli. (@LordJulius2) reported@DrStorm44 Classic Ubisoft on fixing something isn't broken.
-
VoiceFits 🎙️ (@VoiceFits) reported@TimSweeneyEpic Just sell a starter pack on steam for 10 bucks and 10.01 on ubisoft store. Bam, problem solved. Ubisoft doesnt pay the 30% cut, they dont break steams tos and the user chooses whatever platform they want to play on. Everyone wins

Unsupervised Mandolorian (@Ashrubel) reported@RetnaburnX @PaladinAshe I don't actually understand the disconnect here. If Siege had only released on Ubisoft's storefront, do you think it would have been as successful as it is now?? I'll ask this question again at the end... Think of it like Steam owning a pipeline that moves... "Liquid Games". And they let you use their pipeline for free by getting you to agree to selling your game at their "STEAM Game Gas Stations" after it moves through the pipeline. But then, once the Games get to the end of the pipeline, you load a bunch of them up on trucks, and ship them to your own private Gas station that also sells the Liquid Games. And you sell them for 20% cheaper at the pump, since you didn't have to spend money on the pipeline... You just got to use their pipeline that they bought, made and have to maintain, to move your stuff, and sell it from after underneath them. That's the thing you are abusing. Getting your game on Steam's frontpage is not just an advertising deal. Its a pipeline agreement. Steam built a community of daily gamers using their platform through 20+ years of loyal, honest, and consumer-first practices. And now sketchy, schemy Ubisoft wants to undercut them after letting Steam front the cost for the hard work of popularizing a game like Siege through it's pipeline... by selling for less on their own launcher. If Siege had only released on Ubisoft's storefront, do you think it would have been as successful as it is now??

sukru tikves (@stikves) reported@Pirat_Nation Summary A store with less features like GOG or UPlay automatically lose out when they are forced to ask the same price. If it is $50 on GOG and $60 on Steam, you can say "I get better service for $10" and decide accordingly It is $60 on both... Steam becomes a monopoly.
-
GRAVEMIND (@Shiroe256) reported@Pirat_Nation Isn't that a form of unfair competition on Ubisoft's part? In Germany, the FCO would immediately intervene and issue a warning to Ubisoft for unfair competition, since the company is pressuring customers to buy through Uplay, thereby putting competitors at a disadvantage.
-
Migeru_F.V (@Migeru_FV) reported@AIEmerging_ @Pirat_Nation The fact that you don't care or don't know about other options doesn't mean they're not there. GOG, epic games, microsoft store, EA play, blizzard launcher, ubisoft store... You can pick and choose. But the fact is that steam has a much better service and nobody can compete

K.C. Richards (@thelinedrive) reported@AaronIsaacs69 They are both love letters to chat cinema, but Reflection got sent the live service mines by Ubisoft after they basically crafted their magnum opus with Driver San Francisco
-
MiamiSunryze 🌞🏝️🌊 (@MiamiSunryze) reported@ray_ray200108 Ubisoft absolutely sucks. Thats what the problem is.
-
Brancisco Pérez Gonzá*** (@Branpg_Yelren) reported@JasonRed469467 Almost any company with shareholders have the exact same problem. The profit is more important than the art. That's why Kojima left Konami or Guillaume Broche left Ubisoft to make their own companies.
-
Aelita 🏳️⚧️ (@Aelita_LL) reported@al_tyme I did, uplay sucks, I wasn't defending it. I'm pointing out how Valve is a monopoly and is able to use it's current power to make sure it's always the best service cause if anyone else tries to do better they stop it with their influence.
-
dymeon (@dymeon1) reported@strajk_ @yngmisu I don't understand why this is an issue. Ubisoft can sell their games at their place for cheaper, so naturally more people would be inclined to buy them there. There's no reason to hold said game on Steam, yet for them it's like shot in a finger bc they won't get commission fee
-
Jonathan (@xxjon54xx) reported@LinaLavendula (i.e. the base/original price can't be $15 on Steam and $10 on Uplay/Epic Games Store). The problem with this is that Valve takes a 30% cut of every sale, so if you have your own website and you'd like to make $10 off a sale of your game, you either have to not make as much 2/

Hmcy (@Hmcy_) reportedSomeone needs to have a serious conversation with Ubisoft about the state of R6… not only is there cheaters in day 1 of ranked we also can’t solo Q because voice chat doesn’t work… AGAIN. What is the point in having a whole 35GB update if you ain’t gonna fix bugs that have been in the game for longer than this season. Oh sorry I forgot they broke an already strong operator great work ubi !
