@Unreal_Dreamer Uh aren't this just live service like Warframe etc like any other live service games.

@ElMatarife4 @FaletehanRizal @Unreal_Dreamer TFD will never have the same success as Warframe, because of their no nerf mentality. And mecha brake is a PvP game so it can't compete for Warframe players. As for fixing the slightest problem quickly? Nah Warframe has had bugs and exploits for years thanks to spaghetti code.

@floofiesncream The thing is that since they moved away, their competition is now games like Warframe because that is the niche that they want to target. The real question now is what is the thing it it's content that makes it stand out from other live service looter shooters?

@ZaWorldoxxx @ZaWorldoxxx Last I saw they had a plagiarism issue with some of the animations. Either that or they use pre-made assets other games have used. Also like Part of the reason why Warframe is so good is because of its age and just the sheer amount of content.

@braxophone People mention Warframe a lot when it comes to monetization, but who is to say that Warframe is a rule and not the exception? Are there any other live-service games that are surviving on this business model?

@FeyHunt I would say if they manage to find the audience similar to Warframe which will likely happen as it's very similar in gameplay. Then they won't have much issues with monetisation. As skins and frames or waifus are largely all that Warframe sells and they still do fine.

@Severity1993 @GrayRavenRadio The biggest live service games out there take this route though like lol and warframe

@MomijiHraezla The game this game is literally based off has the same exact monetization, but much harder barrier to entry called Warframe and that game is still doing great to this day. I think it's unfair to say no longform live service can survive off cosmetic and non invasive monetization.

@BenciISharpener @lfcladerino @NitroSpidey I don't think it's a BioWare's fault either tbh, they got the task that wasn't really achievable All live service, but Destiny 2 and Warframe are gone, and those two are dev hell beyond reason I'm sure That stupid trend of everything live service is what ultimately doomed it

@GachaCentel Beta player of Warframe, is a little wild call inferior a game that put so much love for 10+ years, the trust, the quality, the love and how devs take notes when the comm have problems and then fix it and more is something you need earn first, then you can talk.

@magho70 A small influx sustaining a studio isn’t an insult; it’s evidence of adaptability. Live-service games thrive on iteration, not instant perfection. The cycle of ‘game is dying’ has been repeated for countless titles that later flourished — Destiny, Warframe, Final Fantasy XIV.

@JacksonLoad @FaletehanRizal @Unreal_Dreamer to be fair, TFD and Mecha Break haven't had the same success as Warframe, Warframe already has a solid fan base and devs are very quickly to catch the slightest problem and fix it, the competition in the live service RPG shooter with cosmetics monetization model is very tough

@braxophone Cool, they made it non gacha, which is nice. This isn't a gacha game anymore by definition. Its main competition will be warframe itself and the first descendant. Single player live service with so far no news on any co-op or multilayer aspect

People forgetting why warframe is a thriving live service video game its the market system where you can sell the body parts of the warframe to other people for premium currency that can be spend for cosmetics and other stuff. I hope DNA also have this.
