  • uffel Steve U (@uffel) reported

Microsoft buys Activision for $68.7 billion. Overwatch, Call of Duty, and Warcraft are heading to Game Pass. This is a serious push into gaming as a service. For comparison, Microsoft paid $7.5 billion for Bethesda and $26 billion for LinkedIn. $MSFT $ATVI

  • The_Biribiri ⚡Mikoto Misaka⚡(Arya) 🇨🇦 (@The_Biribiri) reported

Microsoft just bought Activision?! Xbox owns CoD, Overwatch, Crash Bandicoot, Diablo, Spyro, Warcraft... Damn. Xbox is gonna dominate. XD Holy ****.

  • Monodi Diego 🗯❗|| Looking for Work (@Monodi) reported

Yeah, yeah, Microsoft now owns Crash Bandicoot and Warcraft, whatever.

  • UpDownUpAtom 🅿🎮UppinAtom🎮🅿 (opinions are mine) (@UpDownUpAtom) reported

@HuseyinDarky @IGN Candy Crush is something for PS base to cry over? As for CoD the last good CoD game may be BlOps II. New CoD games are being made every year but that's tedious. PS base can live w/o Warcraft. It has enough MMOs. Buyout looks good visually. But Activision CEO is your problem now.

  • Phael_Barrox Raphael Barros (@Phael_Barrox) reported

@Xbox @ATVI_AB Fix it World of Warcraft. PLSS

  • Nicolascole77 Nicolas Cole 🚢 (@Nicolascole77) reported

TL;DR: Microsoft acquires Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion. All cash. But will need to: 1/ Reinvent the hardcore MMORPG category to save World of Warcraft 2/ Fix workplace issues (and probably oust CEO Bobby Kotick) 3/ Prepare for a Web3 PR disaster w/ Call of Duty

  • TheDougDeSain Doug DeSain (@TheDougDeSain) reported

    Microsoft please fix Warcraft reforge.

  • KaminadoSyd ⸸ Grindingway ⸸ (@KaminadoSyd) reported

Microsoft could legitimately save Crash Bandicoot, world of warcraft AND overwatch. I'd never go back to wow personally but I DO want the game to be good. I would love to see these series get a true redemption arc.

  • FoxiestGF ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ 𝙂𝙊𝙕𝙀𝙉. (@FoxiestGF) reported

@OfClairisms / / Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard for like $67 billion or something. So playstation just lost overwatch, Starcraft, World of Warcraft, COD, and one of their own mascots, Crash Bandicoot

  • MrMandolino Mando (not Star Wars) (@MrMandolino) reported

@justeffinmatt it's not about currently profitable IPs, it's about access to a ridiculously large catalog of beloved and/or nostalgic names right now Microsoft owns call of duty halo gears of war warcraft (all games) candy crush overwatch spyro crash bandicoot the elder scrolls doom

  • GLV_Toonfan91 Gavin Lee Varner (Toonfan91) (@GLV_Toonfan91) reported

I woke up a while ago and I get blasted immediately with news of Microsoft buying Activision. Now XBox owns Crash, Call of Duty, Diablo, StarCraft, World of Warcraft, Skylanders, Spyro, Overwatch, and the most dumbfounding to me, C a n d y C r u s h

  • Gamingboyz246 ZachariahSmith (@Gamingboyz246) reported

A lot more people are talking about Crash Bandicoot being Xbox exclusive, but is nobody going to talk about Call of Duty and World of Warcraft being Xbox exclusive?

  • joke_la Randy Jokela (@joke_la) reported

Hmm what should I play today? Microsoft's Crash Bandicoot or Microsoft's World of Warcraft?
