I have NEVER had ANY TYPE of "spam email" problem with my Yahoo Mail account. No more than completely normal and expected. Completely Normal and Expected = BASICALLY NOTHING. Google = prescriptions demons, prescribing nothing but 100% proven deadly death. "Safe and effective."

@yahoomail you email me ALL THE TIME to say that my account might have been hacked by gov't actors. turned on 2-factor authentication. what else should i do? your "self help" articles are terrible. maybe time to switch to gmail like everyone else

Took this opportunity while @yahoomail is down to move my Yahoo notifications to @gmail and I'll be getting rid of my yahoo account. Time to stop using companies that don't want to help customers.

@acardnal @SaraFeistiness @YahooCare My tentative, amateur theory is Yahoo is having a routing/peering issue with certain ISPs. I have U-verse in the Chicago area and couldn't connect to Yahoo Mail via FF/Chrome or the Android app. Switching to my Sprint (T-Mobile) data plan hot-spot fixed everything immediately.
