They slapped a bill of more than INR 9k for data usage which they themselves had mentioned was free under some BS campaign of theirs. Extremely unreliable and poor service. MNP'd my numbers as soon as I could.

Or call 121/198 from your registered Airtel number, request cancellation, and note the SR ID. It usually processes in 3-7 days. They may ask why—stay firm if you're sure.
