@Barryg311 @LOTRonPrime @PrimeVideo It does look cheap, it’s more of a generic fantasy show not getting Lotr vibes at all. Be ready for disappointment, we all have been pretty excited for new Lotr stuff but the quality and expectations are at the highest level. Anything less will be a failure in my book.

@nicbouchard153 @PrimeVideo It probably will end up as "generic fantasy story," bc I don't trust most people to adapt Arda at all. But many people here are complaining about things that are actually a part of the original work. It's frustrating bc they're drowning out legitimate criticism.

@LOTRonPrime @PrimeVideo The bar set by Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens, and Fran Walsh is pretty high. I realize Amazon has billions of dollars to spend, but this project will be judged by its trueness to the spirit of Tolkien's work, not by its budget.

@LOTRonPrime @PrimeVideo Looks terrible, the main mistake Peter did was use too much CGI in the 3rd movie and went overboard with it in Hobbit and made it unwatchable. Everything looks too clean In the trailer...original movies you had grit and dirt then they added fantasy filter on top of that.

@LOTRonPrime @PrimeVideo Lol @ at all of the backlash and negativity because there’s essentially a black character in the show. Actually read up on Tolkien’s work. Whatever you believe - it’s opposite of what his work was intended to be portrayed as. Grow ******** up. I cannot wait for this.
