@bhatnagars02 @ThetaVegaCap Even from investing fundamental angle there is a problem. State owned BSNL/MTNL were profitable till private players came. Later they went into losses due to competition. In power distribution except BSES (Reliance Power) no one earned profits in distribution. Most state owned distribution companies are in losses INSPITE OF BEING A MONOPOLY. How will a private player earn a profit in a scenario where the incumbent monopolist is in heavy financial losses and relies on state govt support every year to run the company.

@mohitlaws @BSNLCorporate @BSNLCorporate will generate interconnect charges from other operators for providing incomings being received on BSNL users from other networks and when whole nation is receiving incoming on one single network will be a magical growth in its revenue in addition to users' recharges revenue. Govt has sole discretion to allot tenders to its own organisations without facing fair competition bid deal condition alleged by other operators because subsidy would be borne by govt. One single step and a government venture getting into huge profit similarly dadagiri of all private operators ends.

@nakulvibhor use BSNL there are basic plans for poor available, other then that you can't get everything free, it's not भंडारा, also earlier data was very expensive, I remember spending ₹750 for 6GBs of data, now calls, data are cheapest in the world & are of good quality as well.

@mohitlaws People who can't afford these plans by Airtel or Jio can switch to BSNL. The govt that you're criticising recently launched indigenous 4G for BSNL and the minimum recharge is 107 rs. The BSNL network is mostly available everywhere in rural Bharat.

A simple advice for @narendramodi @PMOIndia, and @FinMinIndia , as no one is going to point this out. Please stop wasting our money on BSNL. People sitting on top don't care about permanent solutions for issues. Things are worse in reality.

@mohitlaws Somehow All of you are deliberately avoiding any mention of another option, BSNL. Is it because it's govt &govt is not yours? I switched & am extremely happy with their reasonable plans & excellent network.

@Harsh65229521 @_protagonist1 @grok Look at the financials. Bsnl was profitable under Vajpayee govt. As soon as UPA took over, from thousands of crores in profit, BSNL went into huge losses after 2007/8. The damage was done by 2014. Its only now after infra push by current govt that BSNL has turned profitable again
