  I know 2026 looks💩for VR right now BUT things always get worse before they get better. We will look back and see this as a pivotal year where VR changed course for the better. #Cyberpunk2077 #VR "Many of you have noticed that two of my recent posts disappeared about a week ago. I apologize that I could not comment personally about the fact, because there was an ongoing legal exchange. Now that the dust has settled, I'm even more sorry to announce that we are leaving behind an adventure that so many of you deeply loved and enjoyed. CD PROJEKT S.A. decided that they would follow in Take-Two Interactive Software's steps and issued a DMCA notice against me for the removal of the Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod. At least they were a little more open about it, and I could get a reply both from their legal department and from the VP of business development. But in the end it amounted to the same iron-clad corpo logic: every little action that a company takes is in the name of money, but everything that modders do must be absolutely for free. As usual they stretch the concept of "derivative work" until it's paper-thin, as though a system that allows visualizing 40+ games in fully immersive 3D VR was somehow built making use of their intellectual property. And as usual they give absolutely zero f***s about how playing their game in VR made people happy, and they cannot just be grateful about the extra copies of the title they sold because of that—without ever having to pour money into producing an official conversion (no, they're not planning to release their own VR port, in case you were wondering). The bottom line is all that matters, and gamers be damned. Am I a little bitter about all of this? Yeah, you bet I am. Especially in the same week when Meta pulls the plug on three major VR studios. Especially after four years during which I (together with other modders) spent so much time keeping our mods alive in spite of CDPR's constant breaking updates. Especially when they never even knew or cared during all this time that the VR conversion was there, and are only knee-jerk reacting now because somebody reported to them that it existed and it was not free. What really irks me is the duplicity with which the corpo mind thinks and reacts. —"Are you considering an official VR port of your game?" —"HAHAHA, you must be delusional, why would we spend our precious money building something only because gamers yearn for it, when there's no clear return on investment". —"Are you allowing developers to be at least supported financially while they do the work you refuse to do?" —"ABSOLUTELY NOT, we are okay with it if they give all their time and expertise for free, but it's downright shameful for them to ask for money". Anyway. Dear Cyberpunk 2077: I've got one less problem without ya."

  @CyberpunkGame my game is crashing all the time and riddled with bugs since the update. Falling through the map, scopes are completely crazy, crashing every 10 mins. Fix it

  @EightBitWarrior One you no longer are under PlayStation which is a plus. 2nd if you use things like GOG for example you can buy cyberpunk2077 buy a $20 disc burner and burn the game to a disc ship it to a dude across the earth you never spoke to and he can play it. DRM is the real problem.

  Does anyone else remember when a large amount of gamers fell into delusional psychosis brought upon by being one-shot from cyberpunk2077 marketing? The literal lowest common denominator of gamers were actually mind broken beyond belief. The CIA couldn’t have propagandized better than CDPR did. I am positive they took notes for future psyops. If you looked at Reddit around that time you wouldn’t believe your eyes. This was one of the worst times to be a gamer, I was disgusted with the behavior of you mfs. People talking about offing themselves when the game launched bad and pre-launch people running with ridiculous head-cannon gameplay about being a teacher or office worker like the game was supposed to be a life sim 😭 Don’t even get me started on the Keanu Reeves reveal.

  @JuniorRosfield cyberpunk2077 had to be patch cause it launched broken. the disc doesn't contain the patch. maybe future copies added it but the day 1 sales do not. those discs are worthless without the patch if they decide to kill the license for that game.

  @ItsToriGalvin I wouldn't mind paying a $10-$15 premium for games with multiple disks. The problem is that (unlike other forms of physical media) the game that you get upon release is rarely the same game 1 year later (see Cyberpunk2077, Crimson Desert), so physical is no longer practical.

  @CyberpunkGame So the update you pushed on ps5, not pro caused my game to look like in 2018, blurred effects, gamma correcture is not working and my game looks horrible using a OLED Tv…resolution is far away from what is was…will you solve this?

  @CyberpunkGame the crashes to desktop on Xbox Series S are a pain in the ***. Play for more than an hour and you have to quicksave every few minutes or else lose all your progress when the game inevitably crashes to desktop. Yall gonna fix that?

  @CyberpunkGame Hey @Xbox instead of giving us free games that came out six years ago… can you just update your mobile app? It’s absolute garbage. Constantly disconnecting if somebody calls you on the phone good luck the whole app out restart it. Just fix your mobile app.

  @Ganglosaxonnne If everything is proprietary and the new generators dont work with surviving old ones I guess that makes sense. But even with that the new generators should be able to just make a new system themselves. Like how cyberpunk2077's internet is broken up between cities
