  @etrade A day or so after the initial exchange, I got a call from someone at @etrade. He immediately asked me to give him personally identifiable information. This is one of the worst practices across multiple industries that is helping propagate identify theft. It needs to be banned.

  @etrade This call came at almost 9pm, I wasn't at my computer, and had largely forgotten about this incident. Then I get this stupid form letter that says nothing but had to come in a secure portal. It only serves to remind my how poorly this entire situation from beginning to now was handled by @etrade.

  @etrade I print PDFs of portfolio positions, and one of your incompetent web developers made a major change that screwed up the formatting. Left image was from 2026-04-02, which has been the same format for many years, perhaps decades. Right image was today (2026-04-06), where the dropdown for Account and View now hogs up precious vertical space. Please revert to the previous style ASAP. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

  @etrade Worst trading app! Stay away! Execution latency and platform lag are major complaints among active traders on E*TRADE, especially during periods of high market volatility. The platform frequently frustrates day traders and options scalpers.

  @etrade liquidated a 7 figure stock portfolio my wife inherited into a managed fund. When there was confusion about which accounts funds were going into, E*trade did nothing to prevent the rebalancing/ liquidation. This triggered a sizable tax event. E*trade is the worst.

  @etrade @MichaelPizzi — given your history leading both E*TRADE and Morgan Stanley Private Bank, I hope you will take a look at what is happening here. Nearly $10,000 is restricted, legitimate transactions were reversed, and customer service cannot provide a single accountable person.

  @etrade wtf is wrong with your platform and support staff, I canceled two orders. You have not returned my funds. Your support staff Patrick H, stated that because @SpaceX just did IPO “I’m sure there will be hiccups, and we will raise a case to have your funds returned”… Seriously wtf ?? I’ve lost prime trading opportunity due to your platform having hiccups ? And you’re now holding my funds because you can’t process order cancellations??

  Hey @etrade since your feedback form fails to submit: Got locked out of my account because you decided to send a text message without mentioning that message is coming. This is a terrible user experience and is making me consider closing the account. There is no way to turn off that setting either?   Had a check washed (fraudulently cashed) from @etrade account. Filed a police report, filled out required paper work and it has been over 40 days. No resolution, despite weekly calls to customer service. Really shocking they aren't fixing this like normal banks.

  @CrispinCowan0 @etrade Bitcoin is a long term play. It rips violently when everyone gives up on it. There will only ever be 21M coins. MU will issue shares and dillute shareholders. A new competitor will steal market share. The AI trade is already unwinding. Bitcoin will rip to 500K and crash to 350K and you’ll have this same convo with someone else.
