This is a terrible user experience and is making me consider closing the account. There is no way to turn off that setting either? Chad South (@TheRealCBones) reportedHad a check washed (fraudulently cashed) from @etrade account. Filed a police report, filled out required paper work and it has been over 40 days. No resolution, despite weekly calls to customer service. Really shocking they aren't fixing this like normal banks.

Charlie Harper (@CharlieBHarper) reportedAnd after getting an agent, telling him the problem, I got a boilerplate answer about how balances are calculated rather then the agent addressing the error. His follow up - after 20+ minutes of wasted time - was to tell me to call @etrade. We've institutionalized failure.

❀Dawson❂ (@DawsonBarcey) reported@coinbase I just initiated a stock portfolio transfer from E*TRADE to Coinbase. E*TRADE was able to get on the phone with me and verify the outgoing transfer and making sure that I got my reimbursement for the fee that they had charged me. I can’t get a single human person at Coinbase both on chat or phone to assist me about the transfer verification. I feel like I should transfer all my **** back to @etrade because their customer service is superior.

Today is a total system meltdown--options data failing to load, charts broken, and the platform is completely unusable. I’m fortunate to trade on a proprietary platform that keeps me operational, but that doesn’t excuse this. Even as a secondary backup, this level of service is a slap in the face to those of us who stayed loyal through the 2008 financial crisis and decades of market shifts. What was once a reliable tool has been hollowed out by corporate arrogance and gross technical incompetence. If you’re a serious trader, this is no longer a safe or viable home for your capital. I’m officially moving all capital out and scouting a new broker for my secondary accounts. This clown show is over.
