I uninstalled and reinstalled facebook messenger a few weeks ago to fix a bug and since then it randomly gives me notifications for messages from LITERALLY years ago like "Lol" from someone I haven't talked to since 2018 or "Happy Thanksgiving!" from my boyfriend's mom in 2020

Seriously, can someone help me with FB? I’m trying to get back in so I can delete my account. I keep getting stuck in a loop of “they need to confirm my identity“ but my only option is Facebook messenger which I no longer have. I tried re-downloading it but it’s not helping.
