I had a @fitbit it has broken for the third time with the same problem. The two previous occasions they replaced it. Apparently this time “it doesn’t meet their replacement requirements”. Ok #shitbit I am going to buy a @Garmin like I should have done from the start.

@FitbitSupport Hi Fitbit, my mum's Charge 4 has stopped working and we've tried resetting it with no luck. When it's charging that shows on the display but nothing else does. Nothing is showing on the dashboard either when synced. Can you help?? Thanks

@KordingLab @fitbit Ultimately it’s about the experience design, at which fitbit is terrible. The key is well timed prompts from data to motivate healthier behaviour. Oura seems to reliably cause people to improve their sleep.

@FitbitSupport It's not a device, it's an algorithm logic problem. If the device does not solidly sense a heartbeat, it uses machine learning to estimate it. This is a bad and potentially dangerous way of solving the problem. I am sure some of your engineers felt nervous about it too.

@fitbit @FitbitSupport so the only answer from your support team was: it’s no longer in warranty. So there’s nothing to do to fix a 3-year-old versa, supposed to be water resistant, when it died after a few strokes (which it measured btw) in a pool?
