@googlenest I have two Google WiFi mesh routers covering my house. The devices are directly between them. The issue is even after set up, I could control one bulb and not the other and then that would change. That's not a reliable enough experience.

@googlenest The replacement thermostat as we were preparing to move so we took the broken one with us to our new home as we had no return label. I forgot to address this issue. Now, about one year later, again, buy new house, buy 2 thermostats for it. One breaks in less than a year. Nest

@googlenest Hi, they're 1st gen sticks. One of the TVs is a 2020 with built-in Chromecast. Another one is a 2015 built-in Chromecast. Google Home audibly reports them being offline when I ask to turn on a specific room, for example 'livingroom on' results in 6 lights turning on and 2 offline

@aje4789 @ecobee @googlenest I am an HVAC technician. Trust me, Nests are straight up trash. You would be alot happier with an Ecobee.

@googlenest The only glimmer of any response is that the pace of flashing changes when I'm actually holding the button down. Usually, the rhythm is O (2sec), W (1sec), O(2sec). When I hold the button it is W (3sec), O (2sec), W(3sec). But as soon as I release, it resumes original rhythm.

@googlenest thanks for replying. I've removed and replaced power, I've tried adding as a new device in Home app (it doesn't get found at all), I've tried all manner of ways of holding the button down but the orange-white-orange resumes as soon as I release so doesn't appear to factory reset.

  • PalimpsestMan
    Adso of Melk (@PalimpsestMan) reported

@googlenest Honestly I think the problem is the Sony TV, but it is hard to be certain without a lot more effort.

@googlenesthelp Please help! It's January in New York and my Nest Thermostat will not talk to wifi. 🥶 I have another one downstairs and it seems a dozen hotspots. I think we're sleeping downstairs tonight. I've tried everything!

  • halfkxsquared
    Pete Lindgren (@halfkxsquared) reported

@googlenest Sorry - I can see I was ambiguous above. I got a power supply from a chromecast audio that I knew to be working. I tried it in the chromecast that is not working, and it had no impact. Still orange-white-orange.

@googlenest This is a sudden change in Google Home's cloud logic. It started yesterday. Before yesterday she never reported Chromecasts as offline when they don't have power.

@googlenest Also @googlenest it's funny you mention wifi, as this thermostat can't find my wifi network. It says it can't find any wifi network, which is weird because the other 30 devices I have find/connect without any issue

@googlenest Well, that wasn't really my question. And hiding personal stuff is actually possible via recognition & personalization. The problem is: the calendar shared with all people I also share my Home with gets hidden too if I turn personalization off. Is there a workaround for that?

@googlenesthelp my heat link seems to have stopped working. I’m getting error H71 on thermostat but no light on the heat link connected to my boiler.

  • dosmage
Vex Mage (@dosmage) reported from Vandenberg Village, California

@googlenest You may be misunderstanding my problem. Google Home is the issue, the Chromecasts work fine. Suddenly Google Home is trying to power on my Chromecasts when I ask it to turn a room on. This is an impossible task and She should understand that. She cannot turn a Chromecast on.
