Nigel Hobden (@NHNTweets) reported@googlenesthelp Nest appears to be down can't login, isn't WiFi or cell, logged out/in but Nest doesn't connect, bizarrely, shockingly Home seems to be connected which is useless as Hot Water control isn't resolved working properly in Home which again is quite ridiculous.

Chris Danks 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 📐📐 (@christesla) reported@GoogleNestHelp Bug report for Nest 4th Gen (v2.4). Following a 33hr ISP outage, both thermostats failed to auto-reconnect once WAN returned. Because Master PIN lock was enabled, I couldn't fix it remotely. Had to send someone to manually enter PIN & restart hardware. The Wi-Fi stack needs an infinite exponential backoff retry loop or autonomous reboot when offline >24hrs. This ruins use for vacation homes. Please escalate to engineering. It went 3 weeks without connectivity due to this issue.

Nigel Hobden (@NHNTweets) reported@googlenesthelp I'd prefer to keep this public so others can learn from the issue, the simple fact is Google have dropped the ball on the Hot Water side of the options in Home, scheduling isn't possible whether new or existing which makes it absolutely useless to switch form Nest to Home

Earlier this week I also discovered "shut the living room off" no longer does just lights, but everything in the room...including the thermostat. Garbage.
