@googlenesthelp I cannot seem to connect any additional devices using my Nest Thermostat during setup. I keep getting error P030. I have a nest doorbell and nest smoke/CO detectors. Why can’t I use Google Home for them?

@googlenesthelp I’ve watched 2 videos now that said if I call or tweet they will replace my thermostat for free based on this issue. This is not what I was told when I called. I am in Canada. Why is this not an option here?

Thermostats We are fans of both @googlenest and @honeywell. Both allow you to remotely monitor the temperature settings of your STR and you can turn the system up or down depending on when your property is vacant to help maximize revenue 8/

@googlenesthelp Intermittent connection is several times a day and getting worse, my Apple TV is connected directly to the modem, it doesn’t have the intermittent issue. Spectrum have checked their system multiple times, it was one of their eng’s that mentioned that nest Wi-Fi had this issue

@googlenesthelp OS is 15, model is iPhone X. No, I do not experience the same issue. My phone is still connected to WiFi or at least appears to be, as the signal icon is still solid with all bars.

@googlenesthelp System has worked great for long time. But recently keeps dropping connections, very slow. Other mesh points all of a sudden show weak connection when they always had excellent signal. I purchased a new nest router thinking that'd solve the issue but it didn't.

@googlenesthelp The issue is persistent so everything you offer is only temporary. The software between Apple & Nest Wifi does not appear compatible. I’m sure the wifi connection likely drops or the IP address isn’t identifiable on the Google Home network to some apple devices..

You @googlenest heatlink goes down (no lights) and you find out you have to replace the whole damn thing, thermostat and heat link need replacing!? I’m good is that for the environment @googlenesthelp let alone my bank balance, only installed Dec 2019 too

I think @googlenest has a cost issue. Their product line has to be losing them money. The new product line is an effective downgrade disguised as an new product. It is very likely Google has expanded beyond its profit and now trying to recoup

@googlenesthelp The problem seems to be specifically with iPhone, which impacts my ability to use wireless devices that need to be all on the same network. The problem is that my iPhone, tho connected to the wifi (supposedly) is not a named device on the Nest wifi network…

@googlenesthelp Therefore, trying to connect say to my Sonos speaker or TV is not possible bc my iPhone is not recognized. From my research, the problem is with the IP address. I’ve tried to prioritize my iPhone & give a static IP address but this does not help.
