I know from Google search, ironically, that @googlenest is not fit for purpose—buggy, prone to failure. First thing I noticed was a Nest Mini in another room answering instead of the one I was talking to. But devices just go ‘dead’ w/o warning & stop doing things. #smarthome

@googlenesthelp Thank you, it’s a 3rd gen thermostat and the bit that is attached to the boiler is not working, no lights or power to it. We’ve had not heating now for a week

@googlenesthelp ... Add one protect smoke alarm then attempt to add your second and it fails ... Common issue and there is no fix. It's not WiFi as I've a mesh, it's not batteries as they're new. The nest app is up-to-date. Any tips before I box them up and send them back?

@googlenesthelp Thanks for replying. I am about 3 meters from the router. I think the setup flow copies networking configuration into the camera, so it has to be "same". It's frustrating that it's not way to debug it further. "Move closer" doesn't help at all. An error code would be nice.

@donalmaher @tunein @googlenesthelp exact same problem here. went down a few days ago. just says "paying [insert station] on tunein" before it goes silent. tried all RTE stations and several others that works perfect on all other devices. except the google home speakers. dropped at the same time on both

@TeslaOwls @googlenest Yeah… after the Sonos lawsuit, all of my google/Nest homes have become ****. My google home hub is still decent. But the smart speakers are completely useless now.

*When* #GoogleNest Family Bells work it’s really helpful for my mom, who has dementia but also needs to take various medications at set times—the announcement is set to go off in all rooms so we don’t miss it. But when it fails bad things happen. And it fails too often.

Well. After months of having completely given up on my @googlenest ever displaying the weather again, my @ASUS router died completely. RMA'd. Haven't had an issue in weeks. So I think we know what the problem was. Technology has not been kind to me this year.

2 of the 3 didn’t announce last night, so I unplugged & rebooted the 2, now all 3 don’t work—the reminder is for time-sensitive anti-stroke medication so no biggie @googlenest continue being amazing ****-ups

What I’m bummed about is I researched this purchase, and none of the tech reviewers apparently bothered to search for any complaints about the service before rating #GoogleNest a top pick, for me the error rate makes it unusable

@googlenesthelp It always worked before. Since I did factory reset it does nothing at all. I don't believe it has two bands. We just installed AT&T fiber. I had no issue with the Mini speakers, but I did not factory reset those.

@johncoles @googlenesthelp Oddly... My experience was the opposite haha... Ring as terrible, slow, people had left by the time it alerted me, chimes worked sometimes... Moved to nest doorbell, been perfect since (over a year)... Really is hit and miss with these products.
