@googlenesthelp hello. Having trouble connecting Nest e thermostat to heat link. Old one was having issues so bought a new one and having the same issues. Connected thermostat to wifi via app, tried to connect heat to thermostat and it will not connect.

@pellmellkell @googlenest Yep…mine also…that’s why I believe the issue is with Google/Nest. There is most likely a “bug” present that they are not aware of.

@googlenesthelp I bought these things (the assistant pucks) years ago and at the time I liked them a lot and used them a lot. Present day, Assistant never says anything useful. Now, I use them to set timers. For a not trivial query they either mishear what I said (in a silent room at close proximity) or say things not remotely germaine to the query. I don't expect you have a magic 🪄 wand to fix it, but I do wonder (a) whether there is a way to reset assistant in some way which will restore it to a functioning state? , and (b) if the Assistant team realizes how bad Assistant is.

@googlenesthelp Restart, it doesn’t see any Wi-Fi networks. We have a google Wi-Fi system, which i reset the power to. We have nest cameras as well. All but one are working right now. “WI-FI connection error nest.con/w5”

@googlenesthelp The issue appears to be the Nest/Google apps. The thermostats never disconnect from the Internet. The issue is for some reason the Nest/Google apps continue randomly dropping connection. Did a factory reset to see what happens.

Second Nest Gen 3 went bust. The base went bad just after the warranty expired. Now Google wants $50 for the part. I could buy a new thermostat for that! This is the second Gen 3 I've lost within 6 months. Do not buy @googlenest @googlenesthelp

@googlenesthelp It looks like after a couple of hours the issue came back. Except this time the nest app says it’s offline, but looking at the network settings on the nest thermostat displays that it’s still connect to my network.

@googlenesthelp This thermostat is downstairs, router is upstairs. So, about 10 ft distance. There are no other electronics causing interference. Furthermore, the upstairs thermostat is even closer and it randomly goes offline too.

@googlenest Help! I have a Nest thermostat at home. When I’m away from home, I manually set it to “away”. If I check it 30 minutes later, it had set itself back to “home” mode. This does this repeatedly! 😵💫

@googlenesthelp @madebygoogle I was initially OK with the Dropcam discontinue based on you providing a new Nest Cam. Now that I find out this new cam doesn't work in the Nest app I'm pretty unhappy. The Home app is clunky and terrible to use, especially for cameras! Please fix it

@googlenesthelp please make the user interface easier to use, i have a Google Nest Cam installed in my disabled son's room & he had a 3 min Seizure & the stupid app said Nothing about the event happening on my phone on top of that i had a hard time trying to save the video! WTF!?

@pellmellkell @googlenest You are not alone. I have been having the same problem. The Nest app show thermostats are offline, but they are actually still online and connected to the Internet. I have to restart them to get them back online in the nest app. 😩
