@googlenesthelp 24 hours on and not a single outage with the Nest cameras. As I'd said, no issues with broadband provider, my setup or anything else my side. Factory reset of multiple Nest devices and we seem to be running properly. Finally.

@googlenesthelp I just updated my OS so it is current. I am getting the message once I agree to the Privacy and Terms. When I click OK on the error message, I am back at the sign-in page and it happens all over again. I have never had a Nest account - not sure if that is part of the problem

@googlenesthelp So what was wrong ? Still absolutely no idea. When they work well they are great. However, when they fail there is nothing that tells you why they are failing. Error codes are random and vague at best. Help desk managed to tell me they couldn't see what was wrong as they were off

@googlenesthelp 25+ years in IT. Made, diagnosed, broken and fixed SO many systems in those years I've genuinely lost count. I've worked with literally hundreds of tech folk in many guises. Disappointed when I find something that just fails with no explanation

Just contacted @Google @googlenest support because my thermostat keeps shutting down, even with the wiring correct. Told me call back in hour, hours late now, nothing. Really poor customer service. #nest #service

@googlenesthelp my Nest Thermostat is no longer able to locate a network. I have tried all recommended reset options. Can someone please help?
-
Ryan Offord
(@underwaterryan) reported
@googlenesthelp All it would have taken is some sort of decent and meaningful error message that could have helped diagnose things. Even if this is kept from users there should be a way of quickly finding an answer. Hours wasted unnecessarily. Was I right it was Nest all along ? Yep.

@googlenesthelp I'm using iOS. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Nest app several times, I've tried to create a Nest account online rather than on mobile, I've tried to sign in with Google - I continually get the error message. I've never had a Nest product, so I don't have an acct yet

@googlenesthelp Using a square hue bridge. I'm not sure if I can relink Phillips Hue, the devices are listed in my home but Hue is not under linked services to delete them. If I try and add Hue as a service, it lets me sign in but drops back to the set up a device page when adding the devices.

@EYFSBen @madebygoogle @googlenest I sent a diagnostic report to google and it found multiple faults with the router. My advisor wanted to change units, but I’m 6 months out of warranty. Google does work with you to help figure out the issue, but it’s laborious and you don’t always get a favourable conclusion.

@j1mr0ckf0rd @googlenest No. Issue still exists. Your devices update every morning. If there would be a change, we would hear it. 😔 To be honest, I don’t think that they will fix this because I’m not sure that they understand the problem.

@googlenesthelp My second nest heatlink unit has "died" within 18 months and I am again without heating or hot water!!! This is terrible reliability for a €500 system. So disappointed as it is a good system when it worked. Wouldn't recommend.
