The lady I asked if they had a backup battery option because our association harasses us by cutting the power. They don't know that @googlenest makes a power connector that connects to the furnace. Earlier this week I also discovered "shut the living room off" no longer does just lights, but everything in the room...including the thermostat. Garbage.

So, Trying to find what works/is available in canada (NA). There are "smart" ones from Kidde and a homebridge plugin. Any help?!

Chris Danks 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 📐📐 (@christesla) reported@GoogleNestHelp Bug report for Nest 4th Gen (v2.4). Following a 33hr ISP outage, both thermostats failed to auto-reconnect once WAN returned. Because Master PIN lock was enabled, I couldn't fix it remotely. Had to send someone to manually enter PIN & restart hardware. The Wi-Fi stack needs an infinite exponential backoff retry loop or autonomous reboot when offline >24hrs. This ruins use for vacation homes. Please escalate to engineering. It went 3 weeks without connectivity due to this issue.
