It SHOULD be monitoring for this kind of **** and alerting authorities. It would be great at it. @googlenest This should be your shining moment but instead you’re too greedy.

Chris Danks 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 📐📐 (@christesla) reported@GoogleNestHelp Bug report for Nest 4th Gen (v2.4). Following a 33hr ISP outage, both thermostats failed to auto-reconnect once WAN returned. Because Master PIN lock was enabled, I couldn't fix it remotely. Had to send someone to manually enter PIN & restart hardware. The Wi-Fi stack needs an infinite exponential backoff retry loop or autonomous reboot when offline >24hrs. This ruins use for vacation homes. Please escalate to engineering. It went 3 weeks without connectivity due to this issue.
