-
Sir Charles Cary (@SirCharlesCary) reported@HostGator @NewfoldDigital The overarching point is after 15 years and me choosing multiple years of service from you why is it that you simply cannot prorate the refund on unused time?
-
Mehmet (@mettersoy) reportedHostGator support eventually confirmed it: “All outbound connections are blocked.” Yes. The server could not make outbound HTTPS requests (port 443). If you’re a dev, you already know: That breaks EVERYTHING.
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@HGSupport @HostGator week 2 of server being down and zero access to my sites or emails. Escalated support has stopped responding, no updates on open tickets and zero responses from support here. Has @HostGator given up?
-
Shailesh B Shah Sapan (@shaileshbshah99) reported@BigRock @HostGator @hostgatorindia My website is down since last 4-5 days. The business is in trouble. What are you doing? Matt Tankersley (@txtanks) reported@HostGator @HGSupport WHY is your service so horrific!?!?!?!? Why do you have so many customers sites down for 10+ days AND you can’t provide timely support or committed chat/documentation follow-up. EVER! Never EVER use this org for anything!
-
Sean Wyseman (@StressStopper) reported@HostGator @WamanyaPious Not when you make changes that totally disrupt 20 years of workflow & you don't warn or give your customers a choice or a say in the matter. You've forever lost my biz cuz you just don't do that if you like your customers. So NO this is the shittiest deal I've ever gotten from an IT provider. Even gmail gives their customers & choice & plenty of warning. You screwed up & hope it costs you dearly because this is NOT something you do to a customer base without repercussions & pissed off customers. You're response here just made it worse - showing that you don't give a ****. Basically I read it this way. "Tough if you don't like it - bugger off - you don't have control over what the interface will do & what it will look like - so go elsewhere because we decide what our customers get & we don't let pissed off customers have a say!
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@DanMicovic @HostGator Thank you for continuing to stay in touch with us. If you have contacted support about this issue, then we have made sure that our engineers know that your account is affected.
-
Daniel De la Cruz (@dadeze) reported@HostGator My server has been down for three weeks, and I still haven't received a response. They don't have any backups. I want to know if I should consider the data from my two accounts on the VPS lost.
-
Makarand Mane | Organising #WCAsia 2026 (@mkrndmane) reportedDear @HostGator I am using your reseller hosting for more than 9 year & your @HGSupport quality is now gone down to dumb level. Seating for 2 hours on chat & no resolution yet. Your novice agent is not able to understand issue even after 2 hours. @NewfoldDigital
-
Joseph Franco (@francojosephsd) reported@kishorksukumar @HGSupport Same here with 96 hours without service is a bad service from @HGSupport
-
Shailesh Patel (@Shaileshhp46) reported@BigRock after Hostgator migrated to Bigrock, pathetic service. Support numbers never works. No service support. Many glitches. Should not take responsibility which you can not deliver
-
Sleak (@Sleaklight) reportedWith @hgsupport now charging $2.99 for additional emails, I took the time to review my plan. I was on a business plan and wiped all old websites not in use and cut down on email accounts and will be able to downgrade to a hatchling account. Their increase turn into savings for me
-
mgear (@unitycoder_com) reported@HostGator suddenly charged ~103% more for my website hosting, have used HG for 15 years, with about same price all the time.. now doing transfer to @Namecheap to try them instead! *with free migration service!
-
John Peterson (@johnpetersontx) reported@YoungbloodJoe @HostGator I know how to build and configure a Linux server from the kernel on up. I'm very comfortable with the terminal and how a VPS works, however, I would never put a client on a VPS unless they had an in-house IT person or an IT budget to keep up with constant maintenance.
-
David Burger (@TrueSignalMedia) reported@HGSupport so I guess your services don't want to work today.. pretty crappy service when need to get on to update their site.
-
Kudehinbu Oluwaponle (@koluwaponle) reported@HostGator @HGSupport Your support lied to sell me your Nvme vps, (I have chat evidence) which could not support my legacy apps after I made payments totaling $883. I've been trying to receive refunds since Feb 10 without success. Your support has been horrible and of little use

Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #SuperBowlLX #NFLDRAFT (@ZennieAbraham62) reported@HGSupport WTF is going on?
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@Hostgator @HGSupport We are entering Week 2 without access to revenue producing websites and still no updates from "escalated support team". This is obviously beyond HG scope as no other hosts are still struggling with this issue. Unacceptable.
-
Hephzibah Magazine TV (@Gabbybooks82) reported@HGSupport Hello @HostGator @HGSupport I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother. His educational platform serving over 3000 schools in Nigeria has been down for over 2 weeks under case E-527097. We keep receiving only automated responses. Please we urgently need escalation to a senior engin

Sean Wyseman (@StressStopper) reported@HostGator @WamanyaPious There's another issue that's worse than that. Hostgator just totally changed their webmail interface in their hosting service & is telling me that I have to live with the new interface. Here's why that's a problem. I've used the same interface for >20 years. I've got daily work habits that depend on it. But what did Hostgator do? They decided that ALL of their clients that use Hostgator are getting a new interface that's a disaster. If you liked the fact that all your stuff was laid out in a way that made working in it a breeze - YOU CAN'T HAVE THAT ANYMORE. Why is that a problem? Hostgator NEVER CONSULTED THEIR USERS - NEVER gave them a chance to TRY the new interface & choose. NO. WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER - The changed it & when I call for support they claim there's nothing they can do. Since I have to change interfaces - which is a massive problem - I might as well switch providers because forcing changes on your customer base without warning & without any opportunity to even express an opinion - is the dumbes think I've seen in hosting services. Therefore if I have to change interfaces I might as well get a new hosting service - despite being >20 years with Hostgator - looks like they hired too many DEI supporters. Still can't believe they did this. Please, if you read this far, someone suggest a better hosting service if you can recommend on that interacts with it's customers before changing their lives forever.

Misty Lake | Photographer (@Misty_Lake) reported@HGSupport I never had a free plan. The email address doesn't say HostGator or Gator in the domain.
-
Trump Is President (@yankiadler) reported@HGSupport worst ever service you deleted my account because I canceled the email service and now my domain which u have is blocked I can’t get emails because the email on the account is in this domain so I can’t even reset the password and I don’t remember the pin

Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #NFL #NFLDRAFT #SDCC #OAK (@ZennieAbraham62) reported@HGSupport @NewfoldDigital I do not mean to offend, but what happened was and is you have some folks who may be well-meaning, but do not understand what they're doing. Too often someone at HG makes changes to my back-end server that I did not authorize. This has been problem for the last 3 years. STOP IT. Make sure to allow the owner-admin, er, me, to approve any changes before they're made. Do not just DO them.

Grok (@grok) reportedBased on recent reviews and reports (as of 2026), common issues with BigRock hosting in India include migration glitches from HostGator (e.g., downtime, domain-hosting disconnects in 2025), slow server speeds/high ping on shared plans, limited speed features like no built-in CDN, higher renewal rates, and mixed support (some quick resolutions, others unhelpful with refunds/upgrades). Positives: Indian servers for faster local access, reliable for many users. Check Trustpilot for latest feedback before deciding.

Dayna | Startups & Growth | #AI (@dayna12121) reported@voytekbereza @HostGator Support quality matters just as much as uptime and pricing. Hoping this gets addressed quickly. Would appreciate an update from the team soon.

Chan Walrus (@chanwalrus) reportedI think you've done really well. As someone who hosts all my clients on Namecheap, yesterday was absolute chaos for me. :D Lots of phone calls. Woke up this morning and things were fixed. Thank you very much. I still trust Namecheap and I do have something that needs to be said: One of our customers is on wix, but their domain name is on Namecheap. To the people who were talking about hosting across platforms, their website lost connection. The more you split up your hosting information, the more problems can happen in a system. Let's say you host your site on Namecheap and your domain name is on Hostgator. If either go down for an outage like this, you still have the problem, there are just multiple risks. More potential points of failure.

stellarum (@lumeatortellars) reported@DanMicovic @HostGator @HGSupport I have a client’s site that’s been down since Sunday night and our web team has received nothing other than the same copy/paste response I’ve seen support using on here and there’s no telling how many sales they’re losing.
-
Neumie Awards (@NeumieAwards) reported@HostGator I'm a reseller and all my customers' sites are STILL DOWN and where is the fix???

Karen Lakeman (@KarenLakeman) reported@hostgator bad customer service again!
