Brian Modansky (@BrianModansky) reportedWired, and Revenue magazine. Later on HostGator got a deal with Google to parter and offer free hosting with the ability to sign up for Free Hosting in Google’s India region. I was put in charge of theming the control panel. Google promoted it and it got 140,000 sign ups in the first month. Later on my friend sold the company for $300,000,000. When it sold my buddy promised me that he would buy me a house and I would have a good payout and I would be able to work with him as a non profit building water wells to people in need. Later when I thought I would get millions he only gave me $130,000 and then moved several hours out of town in the middle of no where on a big ranch. I was very mad at him at the time because not just because I didn’t get millions of dollars like my other friends who I helped start the company with but the $130,000 I couldn’t buy a home. I was contracted to help stay at the company for a year and help transition to the new ownership. I stayed and instead of having to answer to just the founder I all of a sudden had a whole ladder of executives above me telling me what I should work on instead of having the creative freedom to direct myself. Then the downsizing started to occur. The new ownership layed off entire departments of people to outsource their work to 3rd party companies. I saw all my friends get fired and they did this to improve their numbers because they were planning on bringing the company

Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #NFL #NFLDRAFT #SDCC #OAK (@ZennieAbraham62) reported@HGSupport But the old HostGator would simply charge a fee to fix a “custom config” because it had experts who knew how to code and who knew Wordpress. Why would @NewfoldDigital shy away from making money?
-
DN (@danielnardicio) reportedWhen looking to replace the dreadful @GoDaddy @GoDaddyHelp with a better company with better customer service, try out Bluehost SiteGround DreamHost HostGator HostPapa InMotion Hosting. You dont have to accept terrible customer service.

TBC🏄♂️❎ (@tennisballchips) reported@HostGator @WordPress Now it's created a whole new set of problems. At first, it kept directing me to some weird temporary domain. Then I logged in and updated the settings and now it's a 403 error page. Hours of my time is going down the drain for no reason.
-
Artfool Politics (@artfoolpolitics) reported@HostGator @Trrance How about stop telling us how frustrating it is and actually do your freaking job and FIX IT????
-
Ⓜ️ina Nathan 💻 (@minaenathan) reportedI not recommend using HostGator or Bluehost. Their security is extremely weak, management is poor, and they consistently focus on charging extra fees instead of providing reliable service. My experience with them for over 8 years has been very disappointing. #bluehost #hostgator

Makarand Mane | Organising #WCAsia 2026 (@mkrndmane) reportedDear @HostGator I am using your reseller hosting for more than 9 year & your @HGSupport quality is now gone down to dumb level. Seating for 2 hours on chat & no resolution yet. Your novice agent is not able to understand issue even after 2 hours. @NewfoldDigital

I REFUSE (@seanrogers8) reported@HostGator @HGSupport When will you fix your email hosting? You provide the worst service ever!
-
Joe (@JoeJavaJuice) reported@KenMediated Yep just ended a near 20 year relationship with HostGator. Changing terms of service, new tiers of disk usage limitations, 25% increased cost from last three year contract term and the latestest unethical billing practices. @HostGator is officially on the do not recommend list.
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@dcodrea We know that popup looks sketchy, but it isn’t from your HostGator site; it’s a browser extension (Coupert) injecting coupon ads over your dashboard. Try incognito or another browser; if it’s gone, remove the extension. If not, support can help!
-
Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #SuperBowlLX #NFLDRAFT (@ZennieAbraham62) reportedWow. @HostGator has never been closed at this time. Now it says "office closed". @HGSupport
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@HGsupport @HostGator now Google is taking down ads and organic ratings because the sties can't be reached. Thoughts? Compensation to regain rankings? Would love to hear any suggestions you may have as this disaster drags on.
-
Faizan Shaikh (@FaizanS1996) reported@DanMicovic @HGSupport @HostGator That’s rough, 2 weeks with no access is unacceptable, especially for email and client sites. You may want to start looking at alternatives like Fresh Roasted Hosting. Their support is much more responsive, and the uptime has been solid in my experience.
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@francojosephsd @HGSupport @HostGator Same, and they seem to think that the issue has been fully resolved. No communication to the customers, or among themselves.
-
Zombyboy (@zombyboy) reported@DanMicovic @HostGator Not a single email has been sent to me since last week to let me know what is going on. For me, it's been two days (2 chat sessions and 3 phone calls at various times). The only email I received was last week telling me that our server had been patched and I didn't need to take any action. Then, a few days later, I woke up to our sales guys and editors asking why all of our sites are down. Tomorrow I will be looking at migration options.

Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #NFL #NFLDRAFT #SDCC #OAK (@ZennieAbraham62) reported@HGSupport @NewfoldDigital I do not mean to offend, but what happened was and is you have some folks who may be well-meaning, but do not understand what they're doing. Too often someone at HG makes changes to my back-end server that I did not authorize. This has been problem for the last 3 years. STOP IT. Make sure to allow the owner-admin, er, me, to approve any changes before they're made. Do not just DO them.

Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reported@HostGator @HGSupport my server has been down for 6 Day now the thing is your team locked out the server ports due recent cpanel issue, but till now I didn't get any followup or solution from your team they tell me to wait for 24-48 hr everyday and then give no reply

Alex | Vibe Coder (@AlexVibeCode) reported@ChristianNFocus @HostGator That’s the worst kind of billing hit — not just expensive, but disconnected from actual usage.
-
Follow Me On GETTR Instead. I’m @AmericasMansMan (@PeterVadala) reportedAnd then @hostgator does this thing where they pretend to fix the problem, @newfoldDigital- but they send you to a tech person who can’t fix it I spent hours on the phone — something about optimizing the site. Clearly … not the answer. Let’s not forget when the tech people pick up the phone to clock in and ignore you for an hour… who the heck runs Newfold Digital

Russell Kaye (@russellskaye) reported@DanMicovic @HostGator @HGSupport I cannot access the WHM on my two Hostgator hosting products: VPS & Reseller Servers. I'm unable to get chat support either.
-
Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reported@HGSupport @HostGator still no follow up and telling me to wait until server is enabled then they will proceed with migration and the worst part is there is no Estimate time when will that happen Currently i got the same answer for 6 days repeatedly
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@HGSupport @HostGator Nothing is connecting. No cPanel or WHM access, sites and email still down.
-
Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reportedDay 9 of my server being completely DOWN with @HostGator. 📉 Provided all details via DM as requested, still nothing. Tickets ACOM-3138 & E-518989 haven't seen an email update in over 60 hours. What does it take to get an actual resolution? @HGSupport
-
Zombyboy (@zombyboy) reported@HostGator @DanMicovic I've been on two chats and three calls. I did get chat transcripts, but no emails with any information at all about how long I will be waiting. Not sure how sending you my information will help. I do know that tomorrow morning I'll be talking to my boss about KnownHost and InMotion as our new host. I'm hoping you will help make migration as easy as possible.
-
Kudehinbu Oluwaponle (@koluwaponle) reported@HostGator @HGSupport I requested using the money to cover cost of my existing snappy VPS, your support refused. They insisted on refunds, they tried refunding to my naira card, it failed and I told them to refund to my dollar card, they promised to do so but never did
-
Tapish Jain (@_tapish) reported@BigRock The migration has so many bugs that it is impossible for me to renew my hosting that I had on hostgator. If I didn't renew by tomorrow, my servers will go down, while bigrock support says they are helpless.
-
Ken (@angelsthinking) reportedURGENT! What’s wrong with HostGator? I need to contact my patient by email but HostGator just gives us the runaround. Anyone have similar problems?
