Kimberly K Absher (@kkabsherwrites) reported@HostGator, I’ve been stuck in endless chatbot loops trying to cancel Titan Email I never signed up for. No option to cancel, no real support. I’m a paying customer. I want it cancelled & a refund ASAP. No transparency on your site.
-
Alex | Vibe Coder (@AlexVibeCode) reported@ChristianNFocus @HostGator That’s the worst kind of billing hit — not just expensive, but disconnected from actual usage.
-
Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reported@HostGator @HGSupport my server has been down for 6 Day now the thing is your team locked out the server ports due recent cpanel issue, but till now I didn't get any followup or solution from your team they tell me to wait for 24-48 hr everyday and then give no reply
-
coltswalker (@coltswalker) reportedHostGator and Network Solutions, both owned by Newfold Digital, are guilty of hostile censorship. Users report struggling to regain access to their sites after wrongful suspensions, with slow, unhelpful customer support failing to provide clear reasons for the lockout.
-
Mehmet (@mettersoy) reportedAfter 14 years as a HostGator customer, I’m leaving. Not because of price. Not because of performance. But because they silently blocked all outbound traffic and took down my ecommerce business. 🧵👇

Joe Youngblood - SEO, Futurology, AI, Marketing (@YoungbloodJoe) reportedRocketship SEO Plugin: We have identified a memory handling issue with our plugin that appears to largely impact Yoast users on Bluehost (though not HostGator which is the same company). in 100% of cases we've investigated the issue goes away in a few hours as memory used subsides. You might get an error immediately after activating the plugin that says there has been a critical error on the site. Your site and Admin area are fine, this is the memory issue manifesting itself. You might also get a report emailed by WordPress saying the issue was caused by @Yoast using too much memory, but it is our plugin causing the problem not Yoast. Our best guess at the moment is that this error is caused by our compatibility settings with Yoast which is performed automatically upon install and activation. We are looking at making this process more efficient and improving our compatibility so sites in shared environments like Bluehost do not encounter this issue.

Stella DiMarco (@Stelladmarco) reported@HostGator - their support staff has repeatedly displayed minimal to zero knowledge and are not much more than phone answering clerks. Numerous times we've been given false and varying info. as for the reason for issues #badwebhosting

-
Rick Kapur (@rickkapur) reported@HGSupport trying to get second level escalation for critical email issues for 3 days. Two chats and 2 phone calls, and 5-6 hours invested but no line of sight to resolution or 2nd level support. Very disappointing
-
Grok (@grok) reportedBased on recent reviews and reports (as of 2026), common issues with BigRock hosting in India include migration glitches from HostGator (e.g., downtime, domain-hosting disconnects in 2025), slow server speeds/high ping on shared plans, limited speed features like no built-in CDN, higher renewal rates, and mixed support (some quick resolutions, others unhelpful with refunds/upgrades). Positives: Indian servers for faster local access, reliable for many users. Check Trustpilot for latest feedback before deciding.

Techbit (@AkramInamdar4) reportedHosting a website shouldn’t cost a fortune. With @hostgator, you get: Unlimited storage & bandwidth Free domain & SSL certificate 24/7 support Starting at just $2.95/month
-
Tommy Flavio (@tommyflavio) reported from Town of Hamden, Connecticut@ionos_help_US I called support. They needed my ID and something else. Sadly, I ended up just using @HostGator which went right through and I was up with cpanel in less that 20 minutes.

JK’s Case History (@KenMediated) reportedWhat’s wrong with HostGator? I need to contact my doctor but HostGator just gives me the runaround. Anyone have similar problems?
-
o-mega.ai (@o_mega___) reportedCatwatchful’s breach exposed thousands of victim and customer records in July 2025, with attackers leaking photos, locations, and messages. Operators bypassed the first shutdown by migrating APIs to HostGator—demonstrating how stalkerware survives by shifting infrastructure faster than hosts can react. Google only started flagging the app with Play Protect after TechCrunch’s publication, and the spyware’s operators relaunched service within days. This cycle shows tech platforms can barely keep up when stalkerware pivots, and just about every stalkerware provider eventually leaks all their data.

HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@DanMicovic @HostGator Thank you for continuing to stay in touch with us. If you have contacted support about this issue, then we have made sure that our engineers know that your account is affected.
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@dcodrea We know that popup looks sketchy, but it isn’t from your HostGator site; it’s a browser extension (Coupert) injecting coupon ads over your dashboard. Try incognito or another browser; if it’s gone, remove the extension. If not, support can help!

OkYall (@okyall55) reported@Hostgator, unbeknownst to me, no longer provide, free backups. Had I known this, I certainly would have moved my blog much, much sooner to @BlueHost who provides it DAILY for a free with a $0 restore fee. You have lost your customer service score but your bottom line may have increased TEMPORARILY. Now that I've been forced to review my choice of hosting services for all my blogs and websites, I also have learned that they have almost 10 points higher ratings than you and are a fraction of how much you charge. Why on earth would anybody pay more, get less, and risk loss? Since I have suffered from your lack of customer care, I will be moving my blogs. Do not touch them again until I have gotten all of my content removed
-
SFL Commissioner (@sflone) reported@HGSupport Has HostGator changed its password requirements? I've had problems logging in suddenly but error messages do not state any change to the policy despite an AI search suggesting something may have been done by March 2025.
-
Mrchispa (@Mrchispa8) reported@HostGator My customer ID: 177279284
-
Zara_Schneider (@ZSchneider76107) reported@voytekbereza @HostGator Sounds like a deployment or script loading issue. This is where stable infrastructure and proper server setup really make a difference.
-
Ken (@angelsthinking) reportedURGENT! What’s wrong with HostGator? I need to contact my patient by email but HostGator just gives us the runaround. Anyone have similar problems?
-
SetraHost (@SetraHost) reportedThinking about leaving Bluehost, HostGator, or SiteGround? We make it easy with free same day migrations, zero downtime and real human support. No risk - just faster, more reliable hosting at lower prices. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and we're here to help!
-
Mrchispa (@Mrchispa8) reported@HostGator Website down for almost 6 hours....
-
Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #SuperBowlLX #NFLDRAFT (@ZennieAbraham62) reportedHey @grok do you know why HostGator now closes its offices rather than give 24-hour support, unlike they sed to ?
-
DN (@danielnardicio) reportedWhen looking to replace the dreadful @GoDaddy @GoDaddyHelp with a better company with better customer service, try out Bluehost SiteGround DreamHost HostGator HostPapa InMotion Hosting. You dont have to accept terrible customer service.
-
OkYall (@okyall55) reported@HostGator deleted MANY of my posts on my personal blogs. Not me. Hostgator!!! Now, they won't restore them unless I pay them to do it. I've been a customer for 20 years or more. Never thought I would see the day that they would be so blatantly crooked. If you use Hostgator, you have to pay for them to back up your blog or pay a third party. Or you have to copy everything on your site. BlueHost is cheaper, backs up every day, charges nothing extra to do it and restores for no charge. What happened to @HostGator?????
-
Mehmet (@mettersoy) reportedHostGator support eventually confirmed it: “All outbound connections are blocked.” Yes. The server could not make outbound HTTPS requests (port 443). If you’re a dev, you already know: That breaks EVERYTHING.
