Their security is extremely weak, management is poor, and they consistently focus on charging extra fees instead of providing reliable service. OkYall (@okyall55) reported@HostGator is the WORST! Refuses to honor links (says file doesn't exist). More than 2x expensive as @IONOS. Loses posts, media and just generally SUCKS! Customer Service is AWFUL! I'm like IONOS they have a partner who will back up your file for an expensive fee. Otherwise, they just delete your stuff and you have no option if you haven't backed it up yourself. I paid to restore a backup and didn't get half of what they deleted. The reason I know I didn't delete it myself is because it's not in the trash folder. HOSTGATOR DELETED and it's my opinion that they did it intentionally so that they could charge me for a restore and then they didn't really restore much of anything. I lost a lot of memories.

Tapish Jain (@_tapish) reported@BigRock The migration has so many bugs that it is impossible for me to renew my hosting that I had on hostgator. If I didn't renew by tomorrow, my servers will go down, while bigrock support says they are helpless. This video is misleading. @bhavintu

Too often someone at HG makes changes to my back-end server that I did not authorize. This has been problem for the last 3 years. STOP IT. Make sure to allow the owner-admin, er, me, to approve any changes before they're made. Do not just DO them.

King Stanky (@TheKingOfStank) reported@MichaelFKane Time to set up your domain on a proxy that redirects traffic to a bunch of different services, 1 amazon, 1 hostgator, 1 idk something else. Then have them load distribute based on availability. You can never be too safe.

We use Outlook for The Bookends Review and once a week, it'll stop sending and receiving mail because "503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA." Then, I'll delete the emails we have in the HostGator CP and it'll work again. Any ideas how to fix?
