Hephzibah Magazine TV (@Gabbybooks82) reported@HGSupport I am a journalist so many Government systems depend on my brother who depends on your company. For two weeks the server has been down and he has never witnessed this kind of thing before. As a result of this my brother is totally confused, down and hospitalized

Alex | Vibe Coder (@AlexVibeCode) reported@ChristianNFocus @HostGator That’s the worst kind of billing hit — not just expensive, but disconnected from actual usage.

Dustin (@DPRea) reportedAt 21 I started a web hosting company for under $500. - rented a server from HostGator - studied their "get your first 1,000 customers" ebook like scripture - pitched people in forums Shocker: nobody wanted web hosting from a college kid. So I changed the offer. I started selling websites instead. New website owners have the problem of "Where do I host this?" I would bundle the hosting as part of the website build in exchange for putting their credit card on file for next year. I didn't realize it at the time, but this is when I learned about the 'Front Doors' and 'Back Doors'. It's easy to fool yourself when researching a business or competitor when all you can see if their 'Front Door'. The offer on your competitor's website may look too good to be true and you may wonder how can they possibly do that? They have a 'Back Door' offer that must offset it and then some. You usually can't see it from the outside.

Brian Modansky (@BrianModansky) reportedWired, and Revenue magazine. Later on HostGator got a deal with Google to parter and offer free hosting with the ability to sign up for Free Hosting in Google’s India region. I was put in charge of theming the control panel. Google promoted it and it got 140,000 sign ups in the first month. Later on my friend sold the company for $300,000,000. When it sold my buddy promised me that he would buy me a house and I would have a good payout and I would be able to work with him as a non profit building water wells to people in need. Later when I thought I would get millions he only gave me $130,000 and then moved several hours out of town in the middle of no where on a big ranch. I was very mad at him at the time because not just because I didn’t get millions of dollars like my other friends who I helped start the company with but the $130,000 I couldn’t buy a home. I was contracted to help stay at the company for a year and help transition to the new ownership. I stayed and instead of having to answer to just the founder I all of a sudden had a whole ladder of executives above me telling me what I should work on instead of having the creative freedom to direct myself. Then the downsizing started to occur. The new ownership layed off entire departments of people to outsource their work to 3rd party companies. I saw all my friends get fired and they did this to improve their numbers because they were planning on bringing the company

HostGator (@HostGator) reported@generouncambio @HGSupport We work to make sure that requested domains can be registered before charging. Unexpected barriers can arise after the request is made and we have to change course. If you have questions about the registration process, please contact our support team through your account portal.

Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@HostGator @HGSupport Today makes six days without access to my server and three revenue generating sites. No new sales, no access to email will lead to customer (revenue) loss. Zero updates and appears no progress being made. The class-action law firms are circling. Complete incompetence on display.

Any Dummy (@RepAmWatch) reported@HostGator It’s not that one size doesn’t fit all. It’s that live chat was terrible. No reply for 6-8 minutes at a time. I wasn’t asked to stand by while they researched. They repeatedly suggested an illogical solution. And your AI bot is not ready for prime time. Gives bad advice!!!
-
Nicky D COYR! (@nick_donellan) reported@HGSupport our email server is running incredibly slow. Do you have an ETA on the fix for this?
-
Follow Me On GETTR Instead. I’m @AmericasMansMan (@PeterVadala) reportedAnd then @hostgator does this thing where they pretend to fix the problem, @newfoldDigital- but they send you to a tech person who can’t fix it I spent hours on the phone — something about optimizing the site. Clearly … not the answer. Let’s not forget when the tech people pick up the phone to clock in and ignore you for an hour… who the heck runs Newfold Digital

-

JK’s Case History (@KenMediated) reportedWhat’s wrong with HostGator? I need to contact my doctor but HostGator just gives me the runaround. Anyone have similar problems?
-

Stella DiMarco (@Stelladmarco) reported@HostGator - their support staff has repeatedly displayed minimal to zero knowledge and are not much more than phone answering clerks. Numerous times we've been given false and varying info. as for the reason for issues #badwebhosting

Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #SuperBowlLX #NFLDRAFT (@ZennieAbraham62) reportedHi @HostGator I am still in the chat and now for 23 minutes and not a single admin has come to see about my issue.

Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #NFL #NFLDRAFT #SDCC #OAK (@ZennieAbraham62) reportedHey @HGSupport @HostGator I am waiting for someone to respond to my presents in the help cue in my server. 10 minutes and counting.
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@HostGator @HGSupport entering day 6 without access to 3 revenue producing sites, and no one at HG has any answers, only cut-and-paste replies. Hearing nearly 50k sites still down and HG is recruiting help on Fiverr. Epic fail and clear signal that revenue producing sites cannot trust HG.
-
✌ Brando™ 🇨🇦 Whistler (@surfingshreddie) reported@HGSupport I cannot access any of my websites. Are your servers down?
-
hassan chamas (@DrHassanChamas) reported@HostGator the worst service ever... don't do business with them, they will scam you

TBC🏄♂️❎ (@tennisballchips) reported@HostGator @WordPress Now it's created a whole new set of problems. At first, it kept directing me to some weird temporary domain. Then I logged in and updated the settings and now it's a 403 error page. Hours of my time is going down the drain for no reason.
-
Zennie Abraham ZENNIE62 #NFL #NFLDRAFT #SDCC #OAK (@ZennieAbraham62) reportedAnd on the matter of a “custom config” since HostGator’s responsibility is to the database, you WORK with the maker of the “custom config” because they need the help from what is supposed to be their business partner: HostGator. Don’t know who’s telling you to write what you wrote but it’s a really bad look.
-
Chris McElroy SEO (@seochrismcelroy) reportedI can't believe hostgator support has gotten this bad. I needed help with a domain transfer. Called them. Selected help with domain names in the menu. The people I got said since I don't have a hosting account with them they can't help me. I asked them to connect me with somebody that could. But the only thing you can do is chat when it comes to domain names. Never register your domain name at hostgator.
-
Nes (@darthguero) reported@HGSupport @HostGator Absolutely horrible customer support. Gator AI told me a configuration was done and was not true. Tried email and it was rejected. Chats claimed my user ID was incorrect and unable to get it via email. Nothing ever came. Is this still a real company?

Kishor K Sukumar (@kishorksukumar) reported@HGSupport @HostGator @HGSupport "Updates will be emailed"? You haven't sent an email update in over 60 hours! 9 days of downtime with absolutely zero ETA is a massive failure. As a system administrator, I know this level of outage is unacceptable. Stop stalling and restore my server.
