Zombyboy (@zombyboy) reported@DanMicovic @HostGator Not a single email has been sent to me since last week to let me know what is going on. For me, it's been two days (2 chat sessions and 3 phone calls at various times). The only email I received was last week telling me that our server had been patched and I didn't need to take any action. Then, a few days later, I woke up to our sales guys and editors asking why all of our sites are down. Tomorrow I will be looking at migration options.

HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@dcodrea We know that popup looks sketchy, but it isn’t from your HostGator site; it’s a browser extension (Coupert) injecting coupon ads over your dashboard. Try incognito or another browser; if it’s gone, remove the extension. If not, support can help!

Every week our emails are down and your team takes one whole day to rectify the problem. When it was hostgator, we never faced this issue. TJ Dickerman (@thewartimephilo) reported@Codie_Sanchez I live in the middle of nowhere, I own a coffeehouse, I consult, I am running 12 agents currently one of which I had create a local newspaper, I gave it log ins to hostgator had it build a website, write the stories, do the research, email the people from the articles, and then uploaded it all and went live. We're only three days into that so nothing of substance is happening, but how cool, eventually sell ads, and help the community. That's just the first I have doing that but now imagine running any number of affiliate sites, blogs, scraper extraordinaire there's just so much to be doing right now. No one around me knows any of this stuff is happening yet. What an opportunity. Could go for days but you're 1000% right, I wish I was surrounded by more me types, but I will take the advantage of having no less than 5 counties near me where I may be the most educated on the subject.

Repeatedly mentioning us in posts and replies keeps us going through notifications instead of being able to help you. Hence, "spam." Our DMs are open.

Joe Youngblood - SEO, Futurology, AI, Marketing (@YoungbloodJoe) reportedRocketship SEO Plugin: We have identified a memory handling issue with our plugin that appears to largely impact Yoast users on Bluehost (though not HostGator which is the same company) and could impact other shared hosting environments. in 100% of cases we've investigated the issue goes away in a few hours as memory used subsides. You might get an error immediately after activating the plugin that says there has been a critical error on the site. Your site and Admin area are fine though you may not be able to edit plugins / posts / pages, this is the memory issue manifesting itself. You might also get a report emailed by WordPress saying the issue was caused by @Yoast using too much memory, but it is our plugin causing the problem not Yoast. Our best guess at the moment is that this error is caused by our compatibility settings with Yoast which is performed automatically upon install and activation. We are looking at making this process more efficient and improving our compatibility so sites in shared environments like Bluehost do not encounter this issue.

Not sure how sending you my information will help. I do know that tomorrow morning I'll be talking to my boss about KnownHost and InMotion as our new host. You may want to start looking at alternatives like Fresh Roasted Hosting. Their support is much more responsive, and the uptime has been solid in my experience.
