    @HostGator I have emailed them about this twice, only to get the response, "Rest assured, we can create the invoice for the redemption fee of USD 75" on both occasions so obviously, one is reading my emails and responding to my needs as a customer. No one is resolving the issues. None cares

    @HostGator today I had to open 7 tickets for a serious DNS problem. All times the chat was terminated. I have been your customer for over 10 years with 22 different domains. Is it possible to get support or do I have to change provider?

    @ethan_reimann There aren't worst web hosting companies than Bluehost and HostGator. They're owned by the same conglomerate and either your website will go down or you'll get malware. Guess what? They won't care, don't listen to affiliates and marketers, they're our for commissions.

    Today, @HostGator stole around $350 from my credit card. When I asked them about that, they said it's automatically renewed service. The problem I've never asked to renew it, so they said all services are renewed automatically if your credit card is added based on our TOS!

    @HostGator is the worst. They cancelled my hosting plan for no reason and was told 2 days ago that they’d restore my data and have been given the runaround since!

    @johnc10uk @HostGator Feels like daylight robbery to me. Means I'm effectively paying for two months when I'm not using the site. I only paid them 9 days ago. And now they want more. Not happy. Do you know a better hosting service John? I'll need one for my new site, going up in spring.

    Anyone know how to cancel a domain name with Hostgator without being fleeced? @HostGator I cancelled my auto-renew today & they emailed me to say they'll take ANOTHER payment on the 24 Dec before closing my account! 😡 My last payment was 20th November. Doesn't seem right!

    @briandfoy_perl .@HostGator was stuck on v5.16.3 because they bought in to smartmatch and never resourced/cared to either rip it out or litter experimental guards all over the place

    @dr_casey It's an @HGSupport issue ... certain users on cellular data get this, and they've never been able to explain why. Try on wifi if you can?

    @HostGator split my invoices which were all in one last year, took automatic renewal for the $128 host sharing but not for the $18.99 domain (why was the invoice even split this year?), now asking me to pay $75 extra to save my website. Customer sunk cost fallacy manipulation.

    @CurtisMatthews Had the same problem until I upgraded to Cloud. By the time I talked to customer support, it had usually already fixed itself, but happened regularly like multiple times a week. Personally, I suspect HostGator has overloaded its shared servers and putting profits over service.

    @dimkiriakos In other words, it's not that shared hosting can't work nicely for Laravel, it's that I'm not sure the steps I took to get a project to work on DreamHost would help someone using HostGator or SiteGround, etc... whereas configuring an Ubuntu box feels a bit more universal.

    Didn't even have time to make backups of all my sites on @HostGator before it is not working again. Sites are not working again. I can not access my WHM again. 4 days since last time. Come on HostGator, what happened? You used to be so good for many years.
