@Jeanpaulcm @HostGator @HGSupport The support team said that it mostly affected users on dedicated servers. Looks like they are working on it. The timeframe I was given is 3-4 hours. It may take less, we'll see.

Recovering a domain name after it's expired from @HostGator is such nonsensical rigmarole. You have to get something called a reseller's club account and then put down a $25 deposit and then essentially buy back your old domain name again :/
