Hostgator Issues Reports
Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@HostGator @HGSupport entering day 6 without access to 3 revenue producing sites, and no one at HG has any answers, only cut-and-paste replies. Hearing nearly 50k sites still down and HG is recruiting help on Fiverr. Epic fail and clear signal that revenue producing sites cannot trust HG.
-
Zombyboy (@zombyboy) reported@DanMicovic @HostGator Not a single email has been sent to me since last week to let me know what is going on. For me, it's been two days (2 chat sessions and 3 phone calls at various times). The only email I received was last week telling me that our server had been patched and I didn't need to take any action. Then, a few days later, I woke up to our sales guys and editors asking why all of our sites are down. Tomorrow I will be looking at migration options.
-
Juan luis | JLP (@juanluis_JLP) reported@HostGator Apparently it was a server issue but HG support was able to help and resolved it within minutes. Thank you, we are going on 5 years with HG 🐊🙌🏻
-
Ken (@angelsthinking) reportedURGENT! What’s wrong with HostGator? I need to contact my patient by email but HostGator just gives us the runaround. Anyone have similar problems?
-
Makarand Mane | Organising #WCAsia 2026 (@mkrndmane) reported@HGSupport I asked your support agent to create a ticket for 4 times. Then she created it. Provide an easy option to create support ticket instead of a chat option
-
Jordan Blum🤘 (@JordanBlum87) reportedCan any tech people help? We use Outlook for The Bookends Review and once a week, it'll stop sending and receiving mail because "503 Valid RCPT command must precede DATA." Then, I'll delete the emails we have in the HostGator CP and it'll work again. Any ideas how to fix?
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@Hostgator @HGSupport We are entering Week 2 without access to revenue producing websites and still no updates from "escalated support team". This is obviously beyond HG scope as no other hosts are still struggling with this issue. Unacceptable.
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@francojosephsd @HGSupport @HostGator Same, and they seem to think that the issue has been fully resolved. No communication to the customers, or among themselves.
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@DanMicovic @HostGator Thank you for continuing to stay in touch with us. If you have contacted support about this issue, then we have made sure that our engineers know that your account is affected.
-
Satyam Gupta (@TheSatyamGupta) reportedOur website has been down for 6 hours and the server issue is not yet fixed. @BigRock @HostGator claims 99.9% uptime in spite of this we are facing this issue.
-
HostGator Support (@HGSupport) reported@seanrogers8 @HostGator @spamhaus Spamhaus looks at email traffic from an IP address, often across many users on a shared server, not a single account. Our teams monitor and work with them to clear any listings. Please reach out to support so we can review your specific server and email setup.
-
HostGator (@HostGator) reported@betocreativo @Hostinger If your account is US-based, we offer 24/7 phone & chat support with real humans, the AI can help route you to them if needed. If you are a HostGator LATAM customer they also offer chat support were you can reach a live agent, anytime.
-
Artfool Politics (@artfoolpolitics) reported@HostGator @Trrance How about stop telling us how frustrating it is and actually do your freaking job and FIX IT????
-
Block News Media Global 🌞 ಠ_ಠ (@BlockNewsMedia2) reportedFFS @HostGator - hold for 25+min tech support line?
-

No risk - just faster, more reliable hosting at lower prices. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and we're here to help!
-
MilkmanHero (@MilkmanHero) reportedAh @HostGator broke all my websites, I know they're fire fighting to patch security which is fair enough and I've been patient hoping it'll resolve itself, it hasn't. Really grating is @HGSupport making up absolute nonsense and blaming all my sites being broken on "malware" 🙄🥱
-
Chris McElroy SEO (@seochrismcelroy) reportedI can't believe hostgator support has gotten this bad. I needed help with a domain transfer. Called them. Selected help with domain names in the menu. The people I got said since I don't have a hosting account with them they can't help me. I asked them to connect me with somebody that could. But the only thing you can do is chat when it comes to domain names. Never register your domain name at hostgator.
-
Chan Walrus (@chanwalrus) reportedI think you've done really well. As someone who hosts all my clients on Namecheap, yesterday was absolute chaos for me. :D Lots of phone calls. Woke up this morning and things were fixed. Thank you very much. I still trust Namecheap and I do have something that needs to be said: One of our customers is on wix, but their domain name is on Namecheap. To the people who were talking about hosting across platforms, their website lost connection. The more you split up your hosting information, the more problems can happen in a system. Let's say you host your site on Namecheap and your domain name is on Hostgator. If either go down for an outage like this, you still have the problem, there are just multiple risks. More potential points of failure.
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@kishorksukumar @HostGator @HGSupport They have no idea, they sent this email on 04/30 and server was taken down 05/03: Your website is secure. We have successfully applied a critical cPanel security patch to your server. No action is required on your part. What HappenedOn April 28, 2026, cPanel's security team disclosed a critical authentication vulnerability affecting cPanel & WHM. As soon as we received notice of this vulnerability and the corresponding patch, our team moved swiftly to apply the update.
-
Sacrifice for the Future (@AdvDefConcepts) reported@HostGator @JanesErica49730 I completely agree, the new Roundcube sucks. To make it worse, they are completely tone deaf to why we don't like it. Their comment "You will get used to it". 😳
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@HostGator @HGSupport are hiding today...even escalated support is not responding...perhaps they finally gave up.
-
Neumie Awards (@NeumieAwards) reported@HostGator I'm a reseller and all my customers' sites are STILL DOWN and where is the fix???
-
Karen Lakeman (@KarenLakeman) reported@hostgator bad customer service again!
-
Sean Wyseman (@StressStopper) reported@HostGator @WamanyaPious Not when you make changes that totally disrupt 20 years of workflow & you don't warn or give your customers a choice or a say in the matter. You've forever lost my biz cuz you just don't do that if you like your customers. So NO this is the shittiest deal I've ever gotten from an IT provider. Even gmail gives their customers & choice & plenty of warning. You screwed up & hope it costs you dearly because this is NOT something you do to a customer base without repercussions & pissed off customers. You're response here just made it worse - showing that you don't give a ****. Basically I read it this way. "Tough if you don't like it - bugger off - you don't have control over what the interface will do & what it will look like - so go elsewhere because we decide what our customers get & we don't let pissed off customers have a say!
-
DN (@danielnardicio) reportedWhen looking to replace the dreadful @GoDaddy @GoDaddyHelp with a better company with better customer service, try out Bluehost SiteGround DreamHost HostGator HostPapa InMotion Hosting. You dont have to accept terrible customer service.
-
HostGator (@HostGator) reported@juhca @HGSupport @TitanEmail To assist you better, could you please send us a direct message with more details about the issue, including any relevant account or domain information?
-
denith (@denith969) reported@HGSupport @HostGator been on hold for almost 30min, my website/email been down for around 8 hours, any ETA to resolve it? can't login into file manager or cpanel at all
-
Laurus Travel (@laurustravel) reported@HostGator Our websites hosted by you have been down for 10+ hours. How much longer do we have to wait?
-
Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported@Hostgator over 36 hours and no email or update, sites still down. Rep this morning cannot confirm who is or isn't on the list, as frontline reps have no access to the engineering team.
-
Joe (@JoeJavaJuice) reported@KenMediated Yep just ended a near 20 year relationship with HostGator. Changing terms of service, new tiers of disk usage limitations, 25% increased cost from last three year contract term and the latestest unethical billing practices. @HostGator is officially on the do not recommend list.
