@LucyChalice I had a site running Wordpress with HostGator. No problems with it, but the site maintenance (security, updates etc.) can be a pain. Didn't renew after a year, just went free with Google Blogger. Very easy to use. Only downside is it's not much good for e-commerce.

@HostGator Id like to know in what world you feel that a now going on 8 hour outage is not considered "patient" as well.. I would also like to know in what world you consider a 24-48 hour response time to anything beyond the previous statement is considered "support".

Here we are again with #hostgator and their horrible tech support, down for 24 hours and simply need a competent tech to reboot the server. :( I've had servers for 20+ years, this company is by far the worst.

@HostGator Sent... I've tried contacting support case-support, etc... your overseas people try to help, but say all they can do is update tickets, the escalated support is non-existent.

@HostGator A simple refund and you keep shifting goals I would highly advise people to pay with prepaid debit so as to avoid your poor support game

@HGSupport The only big problem with their service is support, the server goes down on a Sunday and there is no one to help you until Monday at 10 am. "error establishing a database connection" 😡

@HostGator Your idea of prioritized and my idea of prioritized are two different things. Why am I not able to be provided live support with this issue. Your frontline tech support are not able to do anything beyond "restart" and "fill out support ticket" both things that any user is able

Update the problem is with the SQL server. HostGator is working on this and should be resolved permanently within 24 hours.

@HGSupport very frustrated with Hostgator support. It’s been 72 hrs and 4 calls each lasting more than an hour with support team to reactivate the SSL certificate of my website that is hosted by hostgator. They are having issues and cannot resolve.

Dear @HGSupport It's still not true. Stop pushing the same lie to the customer. IF A WORDPRESS CARE OR RESPONSE CUSTOMER IS COMPROMISED THEY DO NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING ADDITIONAL FOR THEIR CLEANING. Feel free to reach out if you need that louder.

@HGSupport DM sent two days back, no response yet nor resolution. No person to talk from admin team. Support team is unable to resolve. Many calls and more than 8 hours spend with support team yet website is not working due to lack of SSL certificate. Paid for certificate.
