@HostGator I submitted a support ticket regarding my hosting; my emails are not reaching their destination. I've had the ticket open for 3 days and no one has followed up on it.

Day 9 of my server being completely DOWN with @HostGator. 📉 Provided all details via DM as requested, still nothing. Tickets ACOM-3138 & E-518989 haven't seen an email update in over 60 hours. What does it take to get an actual resolution? @HGSupport

URGENT! What’s wrong with HostGator? I need to contact my patient by email but HostGator just gives us the runaround. Anyone have similar problems?

When looking to replace the dreadful @GoDaddy @GoDaddyHelp with a better company with better customer service, try out Bluehost SiteGround DreamHost HostGator HostPapa InMotion Hosting. You dont have to accept terrible customer service.

Dear @HostGator I am using your reseller hosting for more than 9 year & your @HGSupport quality is now gone down to dumb level. Seating for 2 hours on chat & no resolution yet. Your novice agent is not able to understand issue even after 2 hours. @NewfoldDigital

  • txtanks
    Matt Tankersley (@txtanks) reported

@HostGator @HGSupport WHY is your service so horrific!?!?!?!? Why do you have so many customers sites down for 10+ days AND you can’t provide timely support or committed chat/documentation follow-up. EVER! Never EVER use this org for anything!

  • mettersoy
    Mehmet (@mettersoy) reported

HostGator support eventually confirmed it: “All outbound connections are blocked.” Yes. The server could not make outbound HTTPS requests (port 443). If you’re a dev, you already know: That breaks EVERYTHING.

  • MilkmanHero
    MilkmanHero (@MilkmanHero) reported

Ah @HostGator broke all my websites, I know they're fire fighting to patch security which is fair enough and I've been patient hoping it'll resolve itself, it hasn't. Really grating is @HGSupport making up absolute nonsense and blaming all my sites being broken on "malware" 🙄🥱

  • DanMicovic
    Daniel Micovic (@DanMicovic) reported

@Hostgator over 36 hours and no email or update, sites still down. Rep this morning cannot confirm who is or isn't on the list, as frontline reps have no access to the engineering team.

@HGSupport What else do you need.D server has been down for 3 weeks. When it happened we immediately contacted you, and you recommended, we purchase a new dedicated server for migration, which we did but you never could fix the old server to migrate us to D new. *I-25506113 is the ref ID*

@HostGator @HGSupport @HostGator You still haven't answered the only question that matters: WHEN? "Assigned to the best team" doesn't help me after 9 DAYS of a completely locked-out server. Stop asking for patience and give me an actual ETA for ACOM-3138 immediately!

@yourwebcoders @HostGator Malware is a tricky problem and we work to make sure that it is contained as quickly as possible. Since you have provided the case numbers (we don't advise putting them in public), we can check on them for you. Let's put the rest of this conversation in the DMs for your privacy.

@HGSupport @HostGator my VPS has been up and down for almost five days now. Every chat session is "we know and we are working on it." Come on! What are you doing? I need this fixed

  • grok
    Grok (@grok) reported

Based on recent reviews and reports (as of 2026), common issues with BigRock hosting in India include migration glitches from HostGator (e.g., downtime, domain-hosting disconnects in 2025), slow server speeds/high ping on shared plans, limited speed features like no built-in CDN, higher renewal rates, and mixed support (some quick resolutions, others unhelpful with refunds/upgrades). Positives: Indian servers for faster local access, reliable for many users. Check Trustpilot for latest feedback before deciding.

@viva_trista @HostGator Please be aware that you will be receiving an email from escalated support outlining your path forward. Once you receive that email, please respond as soon as possible.

  • zombyboy
    Zombyboy (@zombyboy) reported

@DanMicovic @HostGator Not a single email has been sent to me since last week to let me know what is going on. For me, it's been two days (2 chat sessions and 3 phone calls at various times). The only email I received was last week telling me that our server had been patched and I didn't need to take any action. Then, a few days later, I woke up to our sales guys and editors asking why all of our sites are down. Tomorrow I will be looking at migration options.

  • yourwebcoders
    Vrajesh Parekh (@yourwebcoders) reported

@HGSupport @HostGator And even after deleting and cleaning everything on 29th Jul, they are not even replying to the email, and their support is unable to do anything, just playing from pillar to post (senior tier 1, higher admin, level 2 and whatnot). I am extremely disappointed and want to migrate,

@HGSupport @NewfoldDigital I have emails from HostGator going back to 2010. I can show you many times HostGator Admins have done yeoman work in coding. I learned a lot from them. That should be your model, not this frankly lazy approach that HG has adopted. Make some coin and help your customers.

@HGSupport @NewfoldDigital I do not mean to offend, but what happened was and is you have some folks who may be well-meaning, but do not understand what they're doing. Too often someone at HG makes changes to my back-end server that I did not authorize. This has been problem for the last 3 years. STOP IT. Make sure to allow the owner-admin, er, me, to approve any changes before they're made. Do not just DO them.

@hostgatorserver Nice that you don't provide any phone support at all for domain names. I selected domain name in the menu. The people on the phone said since I don't have hosting with you they can't help me and nobody can help on the phone only in live chat that keeps getting disconnected while I wait on someone. Good job hostgator!

  • okyall55

@HostGator is the WORST! Refuses to honor links (says file doesn't exist). More than 2x expensive as @IONOS. Loses posts, media and just generally SUCKS! Customer Service is AWFUL! I'm like IONOS they have a partner who will back up your file for an expensive fee. Otherwise, they just delete your stuff and you have no option if you haven't backed it up yourself. I paid to restore a backup and didn't get half of what they deleted. The reason I know I didn't delete it myself is because it's not in the trash folder. HOSTGATOR DELETED and it's my opinion that they did it intentionally so that they could charge me for a restore and then they didn't really restore much of anything. I lost a lot of memories.
