@TomCullingham @IGcom I think underlying these problems is almost a contempt for the customer - a lack of willingness for those that know about these things to talk to the affected customers. So I was trying to close positions that they'd opened, and they'd close positions I'd opened.

@TomCullingham @IGcom Their response to my "stop messing" was to ignore me, and to my complaint was a right old mouthful of feathers. I've now moved to Spreadex. Although their spreads are wider, their web interface is better (eg. you can see how much margin is associated with which position).

@TomCullingham @IGcom I wondered about that! No, it was some bad data that screwed their systems for a bit. Unfortunately it exposed their utterly useless customer services and technical teams. So my positions were screwed around with for several hours. So lucky it was a quiet day, but I'm off.

@deekoo92 @PriapusIQ @IGcom Not exactly the same, they have had various types of support from the German govt. some in credit lines, some pure debt. It has hammered their credit rating though making everything they hedge (fuel, currency) + aircraft leasing far more expensive. Great long term move…

@TomCullingham @IGcom Trouble was they did just that, but twice! Then I closed the extra position and they also closed it afterwards, but that ended up as a short position! Just a right old mess and a big waste of time. If there was loss it would be <£100
