Avoid @IBKR at all cost. Worst company in the world. If you forget your username, good luck closing your account before they charge you a silly inactive account fee! Customer support doesnt answer and you're left running in circles! JUST CLOSE MY ACCOUNT!

@IBKR But it is so complex / an admin hurdle to get a margin loan even though I am a customer (individual a/c) with a sizable balance. I do not understand why IBKR makes clients provide a credit report when the onus should be on IBKR to do this and underwriting appropriately.

@MarkGutman9 lol it's been the same stupid recording since this time last year. they haven't gotten around to updating it. to be fair I think their customer service has gotten a lot better, but a platitude recording that's used to justify potentially bad service is not a good look @IBKR

anybody out there trade TOPIX $topx futures? are they section 1256 contracts? on interactive brokers $ibkr they seem to account for them on the 1099-B which seems strange to me. thanks to anybody who can help. @IBKR
