A shout-out to the engineering team at @IBKR. Every online broker was dead yesterday for hours or having serious problems executing orders. Except for IB. Comissions keep the lights on.

no statement or rationale from @IBKR on this either. they’ve always allowed trading of very risky stocks, so i don’t understand what the problem is here. vg seems to allow it just with a 100% margin requirement.

@RodAlzmann @CharlesSchwab @IBKR Schwab made a "coding" error on my positions that showed my cash balance as negative. A similar two-hour wait to resolve. Inexcusable incompetence. As soon as I have reached a solid transition point I'm also moving over to IBKR.

@IBKR Looks like my experience with support with IB is the same. Its been one month, and my shares that I transferred from another broker has just disappeared. Transfer status with no update or reasons or even where my shares are now. And now on the phone/online chat is an hour wait.

I tried to add to my $GME puts today, but @IBKR would not allow it... they're only allowing people to close positions, not open new ones. I presume that means the only liquidity is from the market makers. That's lame. Come on, IBKR. Let me make stupid decisions! :)
