  If a broker, @IBKR in this case, say you can only reduce risk (due to Kospi issues apparently, more likely they have run out of margin), but in actual fact they wont let you trade a product you have a position in at all, are they liable for any ensuing losses ?

  @optionsbbq @tastytrade @IBKR For options, Ibkr mobile app is much better than the desktop options they offer imo, but the desktop apps may have improved in recent iterations (they were way too slow and clunky before)

  @IBKR trying to open an account, but the only ID option shown is an Australian driver’s licence, and submission always fails with invalid ID type. Support keeps telling me to upload a passport which isn’t even an available option or try again as it might be tech glitch.   @coinbase is such a piece of garbage, this happens on a regular basis, especially when you try to send crypto elsewhere. Can you imagine @IBKR or @Fidelity ever being down even once? Even if they were, they have customer service numbers you can call, unlike Clownbase. F these guys.

  After @DoorDash, @RobinhoodApp is now launching an MCP server to work with agents directly. The fact that they're opening to agents is the tell that the UX/UI moat these consumer platforms built is already eroding, and in a few years it won't be worth much. DoorDash is better positioned than Robinhood thanks to its physical delivery infrastructure. If @IBKR or other cheaper brokers open agent access, Robinhood is in real trouble (execution is a commodity the moment the agent is the user).

  @IBKR today I have tried to open TWS in 3 different PCs and it stalls at the "reading layout configuration" screen. I uninstalled the latest version of the software and installed the stable version and had the exact same results. Never had this problem before. I accessed your website and there is no record of such problem currently.
