MoC is up, available shares to short are down by 75% with @IBKR. Only way we go down is if someone wants to buy at a lower price - propably significantly more than you paid yourself. Dont sell, price goes up. It really is that simple.

Brian Lund (@bclund) reportedAfter being a customer for 20+ years at @IBKR, I’m seriously considering changing brokers. Earlier this week, I got a margin call notice, which made no sense because my account is fully funded. Turns out it was tied to an old secondary account I created years ago to sweep in some non-marketable securities — you know, those dregs we’ve all held onto that technically went to zero but still somehow show up in the account. (Don’t lie, you’ve done it too.) Anyway, this account has sat idle for years, and for some reason it incurred a $12 charge, which pushed the zero-balance account into a margin call. I’ve tried contacting @IBKR numerous times about this, but if you know anything about IB, customer service is not the reason you use them. I even wired funds into the account to clear it. They show they received it, but I can’t find any record of it being credited, and I suspect it may have been applied to the wrong account. There was a time when it made sense to use Interactive Brokers because they had aggressive commissions and access to hard-to-trade issues. But nowadays, that advantage is mostly gone. I’m seriously wondering why I would stay with them when such a minuscule issue has turned into such a major pain in the ***.

Theoretically, they should be a top broker, but they need to purge and replace their engineering department. Login issues today, poor site performance most other days. You had one job. @IBKR

However, I am still unable to receive the trading permissions I requested, and I keep receiving only automated responses without a clear explanation or solution. I respectfully ask for a proper manual review of my account by a specialist and clear guidance on exactly what needs to be changed or updated for approval. I have spent a significant amount of time trying to resolve this issue, and if this cannot be resolved properly, I may consider withdrawing my funds and using another broker platform instead. You might exceeding the number of KRW you need to buy, and if you're in Europe, new stupid regulation (for which Europe is famous) won't let you buy even 1 KRW in excess if you have any margin anywhere. Reduce how many KRW you're buying and try again.

However, my request was rejected with the message saying that my financial profile does not meet the eligibility requirements.
