A very scary moment considering that I'm a security freak. I don't even respond to those emails anymore, no interviews with anybody I don't give a f***.

Skype did not have this issue. What is the point of marking a convo unread if you cannot get back to it?

Imran (@DevNetCisco) reported@AppleSupport Case ID : 102894947004 @MicrosoftTeams Your MAC OS App, is having serious issues. App version attached. I have found and narrowed it down the issue, 1- MS teams is launched, no problem. 2- Video call / meeting joined, normal no issues. 3- As started Screen sharing, fans started to spin like crazy, and Temp rose very high within 10 mins. You should fix this issue on priority and i think should be reported to MS teams dev as well.
