@MicrosoftTeams Thanks for pointing me there! "If you join on the web, you can use either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome." - I guess that was the problem. Odd that instead of showing me that my browser (Firefox) isn't supported, the web option is available.

@causalinf Today's neat @MicrosoftTeams trick: it isn't recognizing my external camera, the one I've used for 2 years with this PC, unless I open the camera's native desktop app and run the app and Teams simultaneously. Rebooted, problem persists. Meanwhile @zoom is working flawlessly

The real answer I suppose is that our customers are used to it, especially because it works with their existing signin and is bundled in You’re not wrong about the alchemical element. Microsoft has cast a spell over this industry and everyone drinks the kool-aid.

@MicrosoftTeams Thanks for responding but I’m not sure that’s the right fix. “Ben has started the meeting”. Is a notification message that goes to every attendee the moment the teams link is clicked on. Even if it’s 15 minutes before the meeting. Can that be prevented?

Some of you may recall I've been having trouble with my mic in Teams. I finally had time to chat with support and they helped me fix it! Apparently there is a known bug in the Teams app and it helps to use the web version for now until it is fixed. Thank you @MicrosoftTeams !
