  Loved my MTNL sim, but post Covid they have practically given Jio and Airtel a clear monopoly. No towers, no signal. I have to go to the Ghatkopar MTNL office just to get an otp. Had to switch to Jio unfortunately. And have an SIP of 350-500 every month now in Jio.

  @TweetinderKaul @RelianceDigital @reliancejio I have never had any issues with MTNL / BSNL / VSNL internet. Have had them since dial up stopped. Both in Mumbai and Pune. Its fast with no issues. If anything, their contractor quickly solves the problem.

  @mtnl The mtnl service is poor . No connection from last 2 months No one is listing and saying no tender hence no service Is this the attitude of MTNL staff. We are paying monthly bill with no connection . No one in this area is listing. Kindly advice

MTNL now focuses on assets like prime land/towers in these cities, monetizing via sales (e.g., ₹350 Cr Mumbai BKC property approved Dec 2025). It reports heavy losses (₹897 Cr net loss Q3 FY26, revenue down 24% YoY) & debt over ₹23k Cr. BSNL is vital: Pan-India leader in rural/strategic areas (where privates lag), BharatNet broadband, defense SATCOM, & secure networks for govt depts/police.
