"I bought BHEL at ₹18 and sold at ₹1,200. Bought BEML at ₹30 and sold at ₹1,200. Some of my biggest wealth came from PSU stocks." "But MTNL made me suffer huge losses—even though it had a monopoly." — Rakesh Jhunjhunwala (2016) The lesson? 👇 Most investors remember the winners. Very few remember the losers. ✅ Not every PSU is a multibagger. ✅ A monopoly doesn't guarantee shareholder returns. ✅ Great businesses can disappoint. ✅ Outdated businesses can destroy wealth. The market doesn't reward narratives. It rewards earnings growth, execution, capital allocation, and adaptability. One winner can change your portfolio. One mistake can teach you risk management. Never buy a stock just because it's a PSU, a monopoly, or a "government-backed" company. Buy it because the business is improving. Price follows profits. Not popularity. 📈
