    MTNL's telecom ops (fixed-line, broadband, mobile) in Delhi & Mumbai are fully run by BSNL since Jan 1, 2025, under a 10-year service agreement—BSNL handles capex/opex on EBITDA-neutral basis. MTNL now focuses on assets like prime land/towers in these cities, monetizing via sales (e.g., ₹350 Cr Mumbai BKC property approved Dec 2025). It reports heavy losses (₹897 Cr net loss Q3 FY26, revenue down 24% YoY) & debt over ₹23k Cr. BSNL is vital: Pan-India leader in rural/strategic areas (where privates lag), BharatNet broadband, defense SATCOM, & secure networks for govt depts/police.     @Ananth_IRAS Went to Telegraph Office in Mumbai some time back. One of the floors is handling MTNL pensioners' issue. Early 80s I used to send Telegrams from here to my parents. Climbing up those circular stairs made me emotional.Lots of history embedded in those spiralling stairs ! Preserve.

    @MowdiiSatwa @broadlineads @_KajalKushwaha Internet DTH etc were very popular and common and cheaper in 2009-2014. MTNL was very poor service but I used Den Cable service with wifi+Cable channels for just Rs 500 pm

    “No BSNL network in Mumbai because MTNL is almost shut down and BSNL/Government haven’t completed 4G rollout. Who is responsible? Has BSNL been sold or handed over to private companies?”

    @tata_neu I have tried to cancel an air tkt. Phone. Talked to customer care. 2 or 3 numbers. Your app booked 2 Tickets for me. Confirmed. The app is like Mtnl . In 79 . Jamshedji. And Tata , surely are turning in their graves. Pls. cancel 1 tkt. The earlier departure

    From past one month I am facing issue of deadline on my @MTNLOfficial landline number when I enquired with the officer he told me to pay ₹1400 for the damage of external wiring The point is why I should pay for external wiring? #mtnl #communication @MIB_India

    Most irritating about the Supreme Court despite whatever technological advancements might have been made is that the phone lines are still running on MTNL! They never work!!
