    @my_musings_ind I don't get it. What kind of comparison is this. Yes, MTNL , DoT yes we stood in line for 3 years...that's was bad. You getting passport in a week is correct, and the normal...you should say, our time , olden time was bad...Newer time, today is OK...it's not heaven...ITS NORMAL... nothing more..

You can visit the nearest MTNL office with a valid ID proof and UPC code (for porting) to get a new SIM or complete the port-in process.     @AnnuInfo Killing the business to help corporate...bsnl and mtnl have so much potential soany people trusted their service untill 2013.. All govt employees used bsnl and mtnl and network was best compared to private players.

    @swapnamhatre_ They will be up and running before this weekend is overโ€ฆ the ones outside MTNL building are the worst.. as the road is also narrow!

    @BabbleBauble @yatinmota Many years ago I tried MTNL Dolphin mobile network (in Mumbai), immediately once the validity was over, I did not continue. If Iโ€™m correct, there were 7-8 operators at that time. Coming to MTNL landline now, I raised a complaint 5-6 years ago (or maybe longer) for disturbance in the connection. At that time Reliance Jio had just launched their free broadband and landline service. It was free for almost 2 years. Till date MTNL engineer has not visited. Eventually I stopped using that. Not sure if it was a coordinated fault in the telephone line.

    @Mrsinha Enjoy privatization once we attacked air india,bsnl,mtnl for their pathetic service. Now we are hesistant to blame jio,airtel .
