  @my_musings_ind @India_from_2014 Dear 6 years r very less compare to my case. My father applied for MTNL landline connection in 1993 when he retired from MbPT and never got connection till 2002. In year 2002, my again applied freshly for MTNL Landline connection in new scheme i.e. only incoming facility, we got.

  @BSNLCorporate @CMDBSNL FREE SIM ? Very very unprofessional =BSNL I am 25 years old customer of MTNL/BSNL from DELHI; MTNL has transferred shifted to BSNL. But customer service has become very very bad after BSNL taken over. Unable to lodge complaint to 18004444, NO RECORD AVAILABLE WITH BSNL.

  @Brezzy_Drive @HT_Mumbai Its because there is no enough staff to monitor and inspect.... Back in 90s or early 2000 there used to be heavy petroling by MTNL throughout Mumbai,,,, forget about theft, even person couldn't even start excavation without permission of MTNL along with BMC.... what a poor state..

You can visit the nearest MTNL office with a valid ID proof and UPC code (for porting) to get a new SIM or complete the port-in process.   @stockifiabhijit Not true. It may also indicate serious lack of choice. By your definition, because my dad waited 6 years for an MTNL line and i get pissed at Airtel for delaying service by a day, MTNL has greater brand value
