I had a long request with MTNL for a landline and internet connection to my home at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. At last I have to go with private service providers.. You can visit the nearest MTNL office with a valid ID proof and UPC code (for porting) to get a new SIM or complete the port-in process. Samir Arora (@Iamsamirarora) reportedOne of the biggest reforms was that govt got out of infra- otherwise we had companies like doordarshan and mtnl and BSNL and old psu banks etc. If u think govt is a better implementer of projects u are getting carried away with finding new issues which have been long settled. u can compare our private infrastructure with wherever in the same country we have govt built or owned infrastructure.
