ICICI Bank and Credit Cards are good starting point but as a bank the strategy is very apparent that they want to go the volume route than value. They would offer Sapphiro branded as premium as LTF to everyone but there isn’t anything premium there. EPM which is premium is frequently facing operation issues with vouchers taking as long as 48 hours at times. Not that there is anything wrong with it but in my mind they are getting closer to being a MTNL to BSNL (BSNL here being SBI and the reference because MTNL used to be a lesser evil of the two when compared to BSNL)!

Hope that incidental govt investment in Vodafone works out something soon to become an alternative to poor service giants Jio / Airtel. Vidyut (@Vidyut) reportedIdea for @RahulGandhi election promises - revive BSNL and MTNL properly. Easy bookings, good coverage. If the private companies need to make a profit, limit it to 2g/3g, but keep their low budget phone plans alive. You can simply stand on stage and read out their recharge plan prices to get all the votes. Right now the public can't use them widely due to coverage issues. And this is not just for the poor. You can keep a phone no you mostly need for OTPs alive for a year in Rs. 321 if you're a Tamil Nadu police officer (as a comment below pointed out) - this could be extended to the poor! Loads of people who use separate numbers for banking and social media would vote for this.

Voice quality: Jio topped voice quality with highest Mean Opinion Score of 4.36. Best call setup time at 0.56 seconds. Call Setup Success Rate: Jio and Vi both above 99%, Airtel only 97.22%. Airport route coverage: Poor signal on just 0.15% of Noida–IGI Airport route for Jio vs Airtel 0.41%, Vi 0.57%, MTNL 72.48%. Airtel paradox: Second fastest downloads but WORST latency. Upload speeds and consistency matter too.
