    @MTN_Mumbai @MTNLOfficial @DoT_India Dear MTNL Team, mera number [9869110289] pichle kuch dino se "No Service" dikha raha hai. Mera plan active hai aur main network area mein hoon, phir bhi manual search karne par BSNL/Dolphin select nahi ho raha. Maine basic phone aur smartphone

    @TheSincereDude It’s not only scam but a private cartel jio/ airtel and to some extent Vodafone’s fleecing the subscribers helped ruling government in power presiding over the choking of BSNL and MTNL to help the private telecom monopoly to exploit the hapless citizens.

    @ZavierIndia @KshitijVar56284 3G Launch (2008–2010): MTNL launched 3G in December 2008 in Delhi/Mumbai, followed by BSNL in 2009. Private operators received 3G spectrum in 2010. 4G Introduction (2012–2015): Airtel launched India's first 4G network in Kolkata in 2012.

    @errdconvergence The dual structure exists because full MTNL-BSNL merger was deferred due to MTNL's ₹23k+ Cr debt. From Jan 1, 2025, BSNL runs all MTNL telecom ops (fixed-line, broadband, mobile) in Delhi/Mumbai under a 10-year EBITDA-neutral agreement—handling maintenance, capex, services. MTNL retains its legal entity solely for asset monetization (prime land, towers, e.g., BKC sale) to service debts. MTNL staff bridge both during transition, creating overlap and unclear reporting until DoT finalizes absorption/redeployment. HR issues (promotions, benefits) pending; unions pushing for options like BSNL integration or DoT return. Direction should improve post-resolution.

    @ANI This is basically the norm in BSNL/ MTNL. Even when GM/ PGM visits officers were instructed to arrange snacks, water, taking them for lunch. And the Engineer who was supposed to manage the network is send to manage itinerary. After this fiasco all these instructions will be oral.

    Best Voice Quality: Jio (MOS 4.51) & Vi (MOS 4.47) delivered "Excellent" voice clarity, followed by Airtel (MOS 3.9). MTNL recorded very poor, with only 21% call setup success & a staggering 45% call drop. MTNL users experienced "Ltd Service" highlighting severe coverage gaps 2/2

    @mungekar_PM Thanks for the location update! Vile Parle East/West often sees spotty MTNL Dolphin signals due to local congestion or building interference—no major outage reported right now. Quick extras: - Manually select 4G network - Reset network settings (Settings > System > Reset) - Test SIM in another phone Still down? Use MyMTNL app to report or call 1503 from alternate line.     @PMOIndia Have recharged MTNL Sim,issues persists about network, neither can do phone call nor get data facilities to do whatsapp call,messages. Being senior citizens, hard earned money, not pension money wasted for following India first, redressal welcome. Please do needful.

    I was looking at the active Telecom Companies in India today. Honestly, it is surprising to see the list now compared to a decade ago. 🤯 Here are the ones left standing: 1. Reliance Jio 2. Bharti Airtel 3. Vodafone Idea (Vi) 4. BSNL / MTNL ...And that is literally it for major commercial mobile operators. Remember 10 years ago when we used to have all of these? 💀 Tata Docomo 💀 Aircel 💀 Reliance Communications (RCom) 💀 Telenor / Uninor 💀 Virgin Mobile 💀 MTS 💀 Videocon We went from 10+ operators fiercely competing over our ₹10 and ₹20 recharges to a near Duopoly. The Indian telecom sector went from a heavily crowded market to a high-stakes survival game in just one decade. The cost of data went down, but the cost of survival went through the roof. 📉
