You can visit the nearest MTNL office with a valid ID proof and UPC code (for porting) to get a new SIM or complete the port-in process.   Idea for @RahulGandhi election promises - revive BSNL and MTNL properly. Easy bookings, good coverage. If the private companies need to make a profit, limit it to 2g/3g, but keep their low budget phone plans alive. You can simply stand on stage and read out their recharge plan prices to get all the votes. Right now the public can't use them widely due to coverage issues. And this is not just for the poor. You can keep a phone no you mostly need for OTPs alive for a year in Rs. 321 if you're a Tamil Nadu police officer (as a comment below pointed out) - this could be extended to the poor! Loads of people who use separate numbers for banking and social media would vote for this.

  @bsnl_care sir my no of delhi circle but my address of ghaziabad but sanchar haat refuse to port it from mtnl to bsnl 4g in delhi circle as there is no system there to accept address of Ghaziabad plz provide solution regarding the solution

  @reliancejio Jio connection air Fiber and Internet in Ghatkopar is worst then MTNL Hopeless staff , no communication, Advance payment made but no connection on promise time and no service , no call back. No one should take new connection in such pathetic service by local team.

  I want to publicly raise an issue regarding MTNL I have a MTNL tower installed on my terrace, but they have been continuously delaying rent payments for years. Currently, around 4–5 months of rent is still pending, and despite multiple complaints, there has been no resolution. Every time I follow up, I am given verbal assurances like “payment will be done this month or next month,” but nothing actually happens. This kind of negligence is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I request the concerned authorities to take this matter seriously and clear all pending dues immediately.@MTNLOfficial @MTNL @narendramodi

  @AadiAchint @reliancejio We were told MTNL, BSNL were public sector, so theooor service was expected, changeover to private. Now all are same in deficiency of service service. Ram Bharose. If it works, it works

  @TVMohandasPai @nsitharaman @BSNLCorporate BSNL & MTNL should have been shut down long back. Why are we wasting money on 4G network when we are moving towards 6G?
