    Idea for @RahulGandhi election promises - revive BSNL and MTNL properly. Easy bookings, good coverage. If the private companies need to make a profit, limit it to 2g/3g, but keep their low budget phone plans alive. You can simply stand on stage and read out their recharge plan prices to get all the votes. Right now the public can't use them widely due to coverage issues. And this is not just for the poor. You can keep a phone no you mostly need for OTPs alive for a year in Rs. 321 if you're a Tamil Nadu police officer (as a comment below pointed out) - this could be extended to the poor! Loads of people who use separate numbers for banking and social media would vote for this.

You can visit the nearest MTNL office with a valid ID proof and UPC code (for porting) to get a new SIM or complete the port-in process.     @JioCare @reliancejio JIO IS BECOMING ANOTHER MTNL WHICH HAD TO CLOSE DOWN BECAUSE A LINE MAN WILL DO YOUR WORK ONLY IF HE IS TIPPED. I AM PAYING RS 800 EVERY MONTH FOR JIO FIBRE WHILE HALF DE TIME IT DOESNT WORK AS THERE IS NO INTERNET OR THERE R ERRORS.CUST CARE DONT CARE?

    @JM_Scindia sir my ftth number 21403534 ftth number not working . I have tried to complain about MTNL websites and landline number 1130 but both are not working. Kindly direct to the concerned person to solve the problem.

    @moneygurusumit In future airtel, Jio and bsnl only available in the state of Tamil Nadu. Other states also airtel, Jio what ever government approves network available like maharashtra MTNL
