@scroll_in @Johanna_Deeksha What about public sector companies? Is enough recruitment happening ? Came across some youngsters employed by MTNL who came for repair work. They have no technical background, learning on the job , following instructions given by someone qualified. But they were recruited after forcing the older experienced employees to voluntarily retire. Before, the service was very prompt, it was easy to register complaints. Now it has become more complicated, if you know someone who is ready to help, you can contact him. And invariably it’s the MTNL cable that always gets cut. Why this is so , is a mystery.

@PMOIndia @narendramodi In telecom sector, we need 2-3 more strong players. Duopoly situation will not help. Revive BSNL, MTNL and Vodafone Idea.

@dhir_arun @ETtech @ETTelecom Sorry for the disappointment. Upon verifying with multiple sources (e.g., PRS India, government budgets, MTNL reports), total govt support to MTNL from 2019-2025 is around ₹10,000-15,000 crore, mainly for bonds and VRS—not ₹1 lakh crore. Earlier estimate may have included BSNL. For precise figures, check DoT data.
