My father applied for MTNL landline connection in 1993 when he retired from MbPT and never got connection till 2002. In year 2002, my again applied freshly for MTNL Landline connection in new scheme i.e. only incoming facility, we got.

I switched from BSNL to Airtel (with the same number) just because BSNL doesn't have their own network in Mumbai & Delhi and I have to depend on MTNL
