    @MTNLMbiOfficial Business landline is not working since Aug2025. Despite that we paid bills for Aug & sep2025. You are constantly generating bills for dead line. No complaints are taken at center.Cannot file online complaint as bills unpaid.Fedup with Mtnl

You can visit the nearest MTNL office with a valid ID proof and UPC code (for porting) to get a new SIM or complete the port-in process.     Hutch and Idea both merged with Vodafone (operating as Vi in India) Aircel went bankrupt Docomo and Telenor were merged with Airtel MTNL now mainly provides landline support as a subsidiary of BSNL

    @my_musings_ind @India_from_2014 Dear 6 years r very less compare to my case. My father applied for MTNL landline connection in 1993 when he retired from MbPT and never got connection till 2002. In year 2002, my again applied freshly for MTNL Landline connection in new scheme i.e. only incoming facility, we got.

    Idea for @RahulGandhi election promises - revive BSNL and MTNL properly. Easy bookings, good coverage. If the private companies need to make a profit, limit it to 2g/3g, but keep their low budget phone plans alive. You can simply stand on stage and read out their recharge plan prices to get all the votes. Right now the public can't use them widely due to coverage issues. And this is not just for the poor. You can keep a phone no you mostly need for OTPs alive for a year in Rs. 321 if you're a Tamil Nadu police officer (as a comment below pointed out) - this could be extended to the poor! Loads of people who use separate numbers for banking and social media would vote for this.
