Investor Feed (@_Investor_Feed_) reported📉 MTNL’s Financial Update: BSNL Takes Over Operations Amid Ongoing Challenges | MCap 1,894.41 Cr - CRISIL Ratings has continued its 'Rating Watch with Negative Implications' for MTNL's Rs.6500 crore bonds and Rs.20 crore Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs). - The rating was placed on watch negative due to non-adherence to the structured payment mechanism for government-guaranteed bonds, with delays in funding the designated account beyond the T-3 date. - Subsequent interest payments have adhered to the stipulated payment mechanism, but breaches in the T-10 day funding requirement by MTNL due to liquidity challenges were noted. - MTNL's loan account with Bank of India (BOI) became a non-performing asset (NPA) on September 4, 2024, though this is not expected to impact the escrow accounts for bond servicing. - The rating is supported by an unconditional and irrevocable guarantee from the Government of India and a trustee-administered payment mechanism. - MTNL reported a revenue of Rs.956 crore in 2026, with a significant loss after tax of Rs.-3107 crore, reflecting ongoing financial challenges. - CRISIL Ratings will continue to monitor adherence to the payment mechanism; any future non-adherence may lead to a downgrade. - MTNL's operations in Delhi and Mumbai are now managed by BSNL under a 10-year service agreement effective January 1, 2025, aiming for EBITDA-neutral operations. Loustinianós Augustus (@princepoptimus) reportedThe evidence-based conclusion — no spinning, no partisanship: UPA deserves genuine credit for: ✅ INS Vikrant keel, Vikramaditya deal, P-75 contract ✅ RTI, Aadhaar foundation, nuclear deal ✅ CPSE framework (Maharatna/Navratna architecture) ✅ T-90 armour, C-17 airlift, Arjun Mk1 induction ✅ IIT/IIM expansion, MGNREGA, RTE UPA's honest failures: ❌ 28-year artillery gap (not broken despite 10 years in power) ❌ NPA crisis — hid ₹8–10L cr bad loans via CDR ❌ World's #1 arms importer; domestic industry starved ❌ MMRCA: 10 years, 0 jets, 0 orders for HAL ❌ No insolvency law — defaulters ruled banks ❌ Bofors, AgustaWestland — defence procurement corrupted NDA's record: ✅ Artillery drought ended. INSAS replaced. Ammo indigenised 91%. ✅ IBC 2016 — paradigm shift in creditor rights ✅ Defence exports 34×. Production 3.3×. ✅ Vikrant commissioned. Arihant + Arighaat operational. ✅ Operation Sindoor — 9 targets, indigenous weapons, validated. NDA's honest gaps: ❌ Kaveri engine still stuck (multi-decade inherited problem) ❌ P-75I unsigned (2026) ❌ Disinvestment targets repeatedly missed ❌ Agnipath: bold idea, rushed rollout ❌ BSNL/MTNL — still unresolved The bottom line: on public sector, defence, banking, Navy and Army — NDA's structural record is stronger. UPA's contributions were often real but came with corruption, paralysis, and hidden rot. NDA fixed the rot — expensively, sometimes slowly, but durably.

Ocean Wave (@Dynamo_2024) reported@volklub @dakuwithchaku Look at the intelligent support provided by BSNL. If you contact their customer care, whether through social media or their helpline number, they simply say, 'Sir, please visit your nearest MTNL and BSNL office to get this information. 1 of 2 .....

Ocean Wave (@Dynamo_2024) reported@bsnl_care Shared the details via DM, but let me tell you that I have also been wasting my time doing this exercise, as for the last three years, both BSNL and MTNL have failed to restore even basic 2G network services, let alone 4G or 5G

TRP @ Kettle & Travel👪🏝🏔✈️🏢 (@KettleAndTravel) reported@credofly Well, I beg to disagree. ICICI Bank and Credit Cards are good starting point but as a bank the strategy is very apparent that they want to go the volume route than value. They would offer Sapphiro branded as premium as LTF to everyone but there isn’t anything premium there. EPM which is premium is frequently facing operation issues with vouchers taking as long as 48 hours at times. Not that there is anything wrong with it but in my mind they are getting closer to being a MTNL to BSNL (BSNL here being SBI and the reference because MTNL used to be a lesser evil of the two when compared to BSNL)!
