These days, in the name of service, many companies have become completely careless. People buy products simply because they trust a reputed name like Godrej. However, by outsourcing service contracts to external agencies, these companies are damaging their own reputation. @GodrejAppliance, it’s time to fix this while you still can—otherwise it won’t take long to end up like MTNL or BSNL.

Before 2014, India had 10+ mobile network operators — Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL, MTNL, Aircel, Idea, Tata Docomo, Uninor, Telenor, MTS, Videocon, Loop Mobile & more competing for consumers.

@jitenkparmar When a core business model breaks, adaptation is slow, painful, and uncertain. MTNL never fully recovered from the shift in telecom. Indian IT now faces its own disruption — AI is replacing billable hours with outcome-based delivery, reducing the need for large headcounts. They may adapt. But timelines are unclear, winners are unknown, and valuations are still not cheap. In disruption phases, hope is not a strategy. Only deep margin of safety (very low valuations) protects capital. Not every “cheap” stock is value — many are value traps in disguise.

@BSNLCorporate That is also not working, I will never recommend anyone to buy BSNL service. As network is very bad. Technically support is also very bad. BSNL say call MTNL and MTNL says call BSNL.

@mehtamihir786 @rishibagree MTNL, the state-owned telecom for Mumbai and Delhi, launched its GSM mobile service "Dolphin" in February 2000 in Delhi and March 2000 in Mumbai—just months before BSNL's October 2000 rollout. Prior to that, MTNL focused on fixed lines, with mobile initially licensed to private players.
