I closed my @PayPal account last week. It wasn't that difficult Now... Allegedly, PayPal is no longer allowing you to close your account through the method that I used. They are making you jump through hoops and call customer support, trying to slow it down. Blow up phones!

If a random person ever sends you money on venmo/Zelle/PayPal… do not send it back. Ask them to dispute it with their bank….if you send it back and they dispute it. They get their money back twice and their bank will issue a charge back that will come from your account.
