@ring Thanks for assistance. To close the loop: the answer is: Rapid Ring. Whereas in previous months it was buggy and 2x notifications, with latest it update it actually works. Sooooo ... "normal" Ring for the once a year I need to tweak a setting and "Rapid Ring" for everything else.

Just bought a new @ring doorbell (2nd generation) - stupidly lost (I have put it down somewhere and now can't find it anywhere... i think it's my age) the back plate - the bit you attach to the door/bricks/wherever - can I just buy this bit?!

@ring Further investigation - the "failed to connect" error happens when I'm mobile data. As soon as on home wifi, it's all good. Haven't tried different wifi yet but given i have segregated networks, i reckon its a "data vs wifi" issue. That's bad: absolutely need it to work on data

We have a new @Ring security setup, and while it does its job, by default it auto-sends all users busybody ‘neighborhood updates’—vids of package thefts, etc. Bad UX disables it. The false ‘crime is exponentially rising’ message makes them rich. So anyway, #DefundThePolice.

I've spent 4 frustrating years with my @ring doorbell that never actually works when someone rings the bell and never records video when something important happens. Last straw was when my phone broke and Ring wouldn't let me login on new phone. Finally switching to @googlenest

@ring thanks for the useless private message offering me a voucher to buy yet another substandard product instead of helping to fix the problem. One plastic replacement button has less of an electrical waste than me buying a new device. Nothing elite about the ring. Ring ring!

Getting a @ring doorbell didn’t seem like a bad idea until I found out we can’t set up what someone can see if we share the device with them. Now I’m pretty much unable to just go for a walk without being interrogated. Awesome.

@Helraizer31 @ring We have cameras. The issue is that the Ring interface doesn’t allow you to dictate what an account can see. So once you share something you can’t be like “XYZ can only answer the door” for example.

@ring @ImCourtneyLynn Hopefully they can make yours work because they didn’t do anything for me besides tell me to call their 1800 number. Clearly this is a big issue as more and more are reporting the app crashing. Hopefully you’ll do something @ring

@ring the worst customer service ever. I bought a doorbell camera couple months ago and I never used up until this week it work for one day. The battery died after one day of using it. I recharged the battery but the device won’t work. They refused to replace it or fix it for me
