@youtubemusic Are y'all planning on overhauling the Android app? Because there are a lot of issues with the playlists not working. Some friend of mine are switching to @Spotify, but I'd rather not rebuild my playlists if you're actively working on fixing things.

@SpotifyCares Interface showed only HOME and LIBRARY. Searching for a recently played playlist is a NoGo. Certainly while driving. This morning issue seemed to be solved, but in the afternoon same issue. #ios142

@Masakingdom2001 I was going to say that I like the format of Spotify more, but actually the only qualm I can think of isn’t even a problem with the Apple Music interface, it’s that some of the h!p artists’ songs will be listed in my library under their Japanese name and some under romaji name

v1 of the playlist was started when spotify just started expanding into japan in late 2016 (which was also when i first started paying for the service lol) and as such a lot of the songs weren't there ... yet

Anyway, I do kind of wonder why Spotify gets all the hate when I suspect that Youtube, as a free service that may not even pay royalties on all its plays, is probably limiting how much Spotify can reasonably expect to charge its customers.

@JamesSurowiecki They have the choice to take their music off spotify if it bothers them so much. People will pay as little for music as possible. I used to tape from the radio for years, used other ways to get music for free. Shutting them down didn't make me buy music until spotify came along.

@JamesSurowiecki Some things have changed since then significantly. Minimum wage, which is what a lot of young music buyers probably earn, hasn't gone up. The price of CD's has - or at least hasn't gone down. That doesn't mean Spotify is right, but something had to change.
