I ditched Spotify to try a new different service. Over the last several months I've tried @AppleMusic , @TIDAL @amazonmusic... they all have highly limiting problems as far as I'm concerned. I guess I have to chip in for Joe Rogan's new pool after all...

@SpotifyCares Thanks for reply . I managed to get URI on an older version of Spotify which I had on another laptop . The issue seems to be the latest version of Spotify.

@rjmyers I’m not a fan of podcasts (other than PodSave of course) but I do pay a subscription to a streaming service (not Spotify) for music. It’s mind boggling that the talented & creative artists to make so little.

@future_of_music @fightfortheftr @UMAW_ That makes sense - I believe the math being used is accurate to avg rates received by artists, but yes that would seem to be divorced from sub fee - which is part of the problem with Spotify!

@BiddyRonelle I find myself playing the least numbered song when I first go to an artists spotify page, that is most likely research for me for my show, Numbers in everything seem to be important. Maybe we could start a whole new streaming service where numbers aren't the focus!!!

@BiddyRonelle Means diddly squat to me, I’m on the Apple side of the fence. Problem is you can’t get airplay without Spotify numbers and can’t get Spotify numbers without airplay. Unless you’re part of some massive conglomerate record label.

@rjmyers @MrTomGray No one is forcing artists to distribute through Spotify, & several well known artists have pulled their music. #HarryandMeghan have nothing to do with that, but if they are invaluable programing to the company, they're in a position where they could force changes down the road.
