@grimreputation the same excuses imao. purpose was also relased at the beggining of the streaming era, almost in 2016 and did that in 4 years, also 2020-3=2017. it ain’t my problem that she is desperate for pure sales and didn’t want it on spotify. now move “1899” stan 💀

@ChrisInParis @Nicolas_Colin Those factors didn't stop European startups like Spotify? France has a really old-school legislation which halts innovation, a massive problem eg in fintech... Or like that law which didn't allow to rate doctors online🤔Took yeeeears for Doctolib to became a thing.

@irinimalliaraki Yeah ofc I agree - but I’m sure Daniel Ek knows this too. The biggest problem for me these days is how to carve out enough uninterrupted reading time with so many other competing priorities. That the CEO of Spotify can do this suggests some kind of superpower

What the hell has happened to Spotify for Android this last year or so? It's incessantly buggy, freezes and closes itself down on whim and makes podcasting listening difficult with a VPN. Garbage app.

@freshnet I think a lot of people forget this platform is free at the point of use (for Spotify/Apple etc you need to pay a distributor annually). It’s main function to me doesn’t feel like a commercial streaming service.

@danielmgauthier It’s been a couple of years since I last tried it but (at least back then) search was completely broken on Apple Music, Spotify “reads your mind” as you type while Apple Music didn’t find anything unless you type a complete and exact match. I guess (hope) they’ve improved that

@jorisvanhoboken @damian0604 Seeing how often users apparently complain about randomness and shuffle, you could imagine such a weighting being more trouble for Spotify than it's worth. Also, Spotify runs on subscription revenue and not ads.

@copper2908 @JonyIveParody Yep only service to let me use. I don’t have YouTube Music nor Spotify accounts and had pandora for awhile now so I use that but barely use it anyways so lol. I have Apple Music but still doesn’t show to use it.
