I had @Spotify for like two weeks. For a short enough amount of time that I didn’t get a 2020 Wrapped playlist, BUT I still made it into @thewonderyears top 1%... Do I have a problem?

I would LOVE to buy the albums of every musician I listen to, but alas I work on commission and have bills to pay and a car on the brink of death so I can’t Spotify and Apple Music not paying you your dues is the issue, not your fans not buying every album

Cam

Unpopular Opinion: @Spotify getting rid of standard albums and moving to deluxe only is a terrible move. I want to listen to the songs in Frozen 2 but I don't want to listen to dozens of underscore tracks when I can only skip 6 per hour

It’s time for the Spotify 2020 wrapped. So it’s time for me to get a call out post from a service I pay for. 🥳

@ManekaDevin @k8_or_die i’m not saying that the underlying frustration is the problem but i found the blame to put on people that aren’t as responsible. i just passed four spotify billboards. like it’s not on fans. fans will support how they can. punishing them is weird. that’s all.

@SQLRunr @vickyharp I have both Amazon Music for my wife because she prefers it and Google Play Music for my more obscure taste. I haven't been able to justify another service, but these Spotify and Pandora play lists are tempting me.

@CNET "Google Play Music is shutting down this month so here's how to transfer to Spotify" should be the right title. I was a vehement user of GPM, loved it to the core, even though Spotify had more selections. YTM is a lame, lazy excuse of an app and service that's inferior to GPM.

@cloudnothings You have a lot of shitty people as fans. Spotify is a goddamn plague and you all justify it by stating i paid the bad man my ten bucks LOLZ, not my problem. Its indicative of the selfishness and me-first attitude that explains why the USA is a COVID den on iniquity.

Dan Grimm
(@Dansgrimm) reported
@TruthspeakerHQ i was just asked for my spotify page and realized I've literally never looked at it and wouldn't have one if my material hadn't been sent to them without my permission. I also just found they comingle me with another Dan Grimm. down with those cheap vultures.

If I started a karaoke #Discord server, would anyone be interested? I came up with the idea, while I was singing along to Spotify songs. We'll have several voice channels, with a main singer in each. Anyone can join to just hear someone singing, cheer us on, or even sing with us!

In honor of Spotify wrapped, variations of this banger is what I hear and listen to all day long outside my office. The beat is sick. We’re walking down the hall, down the hall, we’re walking down the hall and we’re gonna go to circle, we’re walking down the hall, down the hall

Dave Merritt

@amymillan 1/2 Spotify's not the problem, though. Even on Tidal, Stars would only make $120,000 for those 10 million streams (better, but..). Streaming is largely an attempt to replace/ monetize personal record collections. It will never be a viable income source for most, because of math.

i genuinely care about your Spotify Wrapped please keep posting them i want to see how many of you are broken inside
-
Terje Fjelde
(@schiing) reported
Plus, singling out Spotify makes no sense to me. The difference between them and other streaming sites are marginal at best, and even if all of them were somehow magically removed by noon, the monetization problem of recorded music would remain for a million other reasons. (3/5)
