@michaelglasper @Stugloverlives Ah, thank you Michael. I was beginning to think something terrible had happened to him. Or he’d stopped while Covid was happening. I’ll have to find another way. I’m not with Spotify. Although I do have Acast for Richard Herring & They Walk Among Us.

i know spotify is already one of the hugest music apps, but, why is it’s mobile app so terrible?? without premium you can’t even select a specific song last time i checked. i feel like i shouldn’t have to pay to select a specific song. it’s pretty good on desktop though

I have a theory that with the new update, Spotify removed song popularity ratings, e.g. albums' singles, because people were using the service less than if they were to listen to more songs to find the one they like... which is an interesting win for musicians

@antiscampolice @hrrysgreysuit This ridiculous comment make you sound stupid. The money issue date 15 months ago. Since, they have signed Netflix and Spotify. The issue was protection which cost about 3 millions/year. Charles left his grandchild unprotected. That is the only thing you should remember.

@dennzz The problem is not only with Spotify. Many recordings have disappeared in all of the streaming platforms. EMI recordings, I mean. It is really bad. Many albums that I like have also vanished.

@lilaaron911 Direct email lists, artists’ Discords, and just straight up Spotify notifications are where it really goes down. IG/T/FB are overrated. Got an artist with 300,000+ followers on Spotify and 31k on Instagram. That means 270k+ don’t care about the IG at all and just want music.

@2nosabe @HipHopNumbers the issue is not necessarily against drake's music, but more so spotify, because they choose to push Drake over smaller and more underground artists, when they know they could easily help bring a smaller artist to fame, or address how artists are barely being paid per stream
