@sanjeevsanyal @ViCustomerCare @TRAI It is almost impossible to leave a network, even if you do everything you are supposed to do. I once had to pay Reliance guys to go away. None of their online tools let the customers leave. Things have got better recently in Airtel, but just barely.

@sanjeevsanyal @ViCustomerCare Ha! I have had exasperating experiences with almost all telcos I have used in Germany and Switzerland. E.g. charging you for clicking on a channel preview on the TV, making it absurdly intransparent and difficult to cancel contracts, not allowing direct debit etc. Shame.

@sanjeevsanyal @ViCustomerCare @TRAI Great. So some bigshot with the govt needs to suffer before the problem gets fixed. Sanjeev, I would ask you to take action regardless of the scale of the issue. I had a similar problem with tata sky net. They still call me, months later. We need to legally stop this harassment.

@sanjeevsanyal @ViCustomerCare @TRAI Hi Sanjeev, I dont know what this is called but is a common practice. They try to squeeze out whatever they can from a parting customer. They may even send you a lawyers notice, at which point most customers give in and pay the unfair outstanding. ...
