Aby Rajan (@aby_rajan) reported from Kottayam, KeralaI just spoke to a BSNL Fibernet customer service agent (Anish James) to complain about download speed to be very slow like 21 mbps (as promised 100 MBPS) and very unprofessional attitude of asking myself to solve the issue for speed issues since he has no idea. @BSNL_KL

This connection is more than 15 years old and I have been a loyal customer of BSNL. BB to LL can't be provided since the laid cable is not suitable for BB. Also no response to FTTH been more than a month.

I was doing my Diploma then and BSNL was offering this plan to students on a bonafide certificate. The craze was such that even teachers used students’ bonafide certificates to get the card for themselves. At that time, other postpaid plans were around ₹200 per month, and the moment this launched, all operators were forced to reduce their rentals. That was the moment when BSNL could have been pushed further and strengthened, but instead the focus shifted towards private players. Today the situation is such that despite being affordable, BSNL struggles with basic network quality and still lacks proper 5G, with speeds that often don’t match expectations.
