Surendran Nambiath (@S_Nambiath) reported from Tripunittura, KeralaSorry, if one doesn't learn from others' mistakes, one is doomed to learn it the hard way, from one's own. Not that BSNL/ MTNL was doing a wonderful job ( I had to take 1/2 day leave everytime the home landline came down - that's monthly), but wish your friends change now!

𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖎 ☕𝖌𝖆𝖗𝖆𝖒(not a parody account) (@chaichokro) reported@AnnuInfo Killing the business to help corporate...bsnl and mtnl have so much potential soany people trusted their service untill 2013.. All govt employees used bsnl and mtnl and network was best compared to private players.

Gaurav M Tripathi (@GauravT71548031) reported@theamitkpaul Without going into what you said, the origin of the discussion was the space sector. That is what I commented on to begin with. I stand by what I said about Space sector start ups doing good work. Likewise, service standards, costs, and technology in telecom has improved leaps and bounds. I do not mourn the demise of MTNL and BSNL at all. I see no reason to do so, other than ideological nostalgia. The other thing you said about the chaebols is a discussion by itself. But the bogey of Adani cannot be used as a veto to perpetuate public sector inefficiencies which didn't cause growth or innovation, but were somehow acceptable because a govt servant making unaccounted money didn't seem as bad. It's a long discussion. And I'm out for now.

Rahul Raj (@rahulrajsahay) reported@cb_doge @Starlink Suggestion : Instead of pitching it as a D2C thing, offer it as an uplink for BSNL/MTNL, the state owned operator who is the sole ISP attempting to connect these villages. Let them handle customer KYC etc + the last mile connectivity. Best of both worlds.

DEVESH tiwari (@deveshtiwaree) reported@Brezzy_Drive @HT_Mumbai Its because there is no enough staff to monitor and inspect.... Back in 90s or early 2000 there used to be heavy petroling by MTNL throughout Mumbai,,,, forget about theft, even person couldn't even start excavation without permission of MTNL along with BMC.... what a poor state..
