Sorry, if one doesn't learn from others' mistakes, one is doomed to learn it the hard way, from one's own. Not that BSNL/ MTNL was doing a wonderful job ( I had to take 1/2 day leave everytime the home landline came down - that's monthly), but wish your friends change now!

MTNL was once the backbone of government communication in Delhi & Mumbai If you were a minister, judge, or senior bureaucrat in Delhi or Mumbai, you used MTNL. It wasn’t just a service. It was an institution. But time moved faster than the company did.

@ZenNivesh MTNL was the first telecom operator in India to launch 3G service in December 2008. BSNL launched 3G services in Feb 2009, while Airtel and Vodafone Essar launched their respective 3G service in early 2011.

@AshwiniVaishnaw After filling FTTH complaint fields on MTNL complaint dropdown on website & using Submit button, whole thing vanishes without displaying docket number etc. Why don't you shut down this website to save the customers from trying for hours to register a complaint.

@dugalira MTNL avoids NCLT due to sovereign bond guarantees and government support. Government firms aren't bankruptcy remote but often get bailouts or restructuring, delaying insolvency.

@newindiaassuran @irdaindia please resolve glitches #onlinerenewal Even in this day and age, your systems are pathetic and frustrating. A 78 year old can not renew insurance online. #apathy towards old consumers. You too will go down #mtnl way
