Gautam | Indian Tech (@GautamBuysTech) reported@airtelindia @Airtel_Presence This is absolutely unacceptable. Airtel accepted payment for a 365-day recharge on my mom’s number, and within days the SIM became completely unusable. Since yesterday, it has shown nothing except “Emergency calls.” We restarted the phone and tried manual network selection. Airtel 4G is visible, but the SIM is still refused access to the network. This clearly appears to be a failure from Airtel’s side, not our device. Taking payment for an entire year and then cutting off the service without any warning or explanation is a serious deficiency in service. Restore the number within 24 hours, extend the validity for the entire outage period and provide a written explanation. If you cannot restore it, refund the recharge amount immediately. Do not respond with copy-pasted troubleshooting. Assign an agent, register a formal complaint and share the complaint/docket number publicly. If there is no concrete resolution within 24 hours, I will file complaints with the National Consumer Helpline and Consumer Commission with the recharge proof and complete outage records. Taking customers’ money and then leaving their number dead is not something you can simply ignore.
