MTNL and BSNL had a head start of decades, infrastructure across the entire country, and zero debt initially. Jio launched in 2016. BSNL was already struggling long before that. The real killers were delayed decisions (4G came years late), bureaucratic deadweight, and a workforce that grew without accountability.

It's been more than 15 days that the landline is lying dead and we have been given a complaint number but that's it. No action is taken. Back in 90s or early 2000 there used to be heavy petroling by MTNL throughout Mumbai,,,, forget about theft, even person couldn't even start excavation without permission of MTNL along with BMC.... what a poor state..
