. @Airtel_Presence @airtelindia I did a recharge of ₹1498/- yesterday and my current plan validity is valid till 16th January 2021, but the recharge was activated yesterday itself. When I contacted your customer care executive he disconnected the call. Please do the needful.

@maitreemuz @airtelindia This sounds awful. At a minimum to reduce bill can try activating the 'safe custody' option - it reduces bill to 200/month. not a proper solution at all though. this is beginning to sound like it may need consumer action / legal recourse.
